I really like a glass casserole dish. I was REALLY excited to receive this glass casserole dish WITH a lid that could also be used to bake some delicious dishes in until I opened the box. The lid is broken in half! What a huge let down. I will reach out to the seller. I’m hopeful they are able to replace the lid. I’ll update my review if anything changes. The bottom casserole dish is great, but I am now limited on what I can use the glass casserole for. BEST customer service ever!! The seller reached out to me and quickly replaced the casserole dish! I got this thinking it would be good to proof bread dough in and maybe even bake a loaf in it upside down (using the lid as the bottom and bottom as the lid almost like a bread cloche) It's pretty heavy duty, but I wouldn't say it's REALLY thick glass. It doesn't feel fragile, but it's not super thick. The lid fits on fairly well, glass on glass is always a little slippery, so I would be careful but at the same time it doesn't feel like it's going to fall of extremely easily. I got the 4L and it's really large. It might actually be a little larger that I was thinking, but it will be verstile. Bread, casseroles, meat, etc. you could really use it for a lot of things. Very simple design. No etching or crevices for food to get stuck in. Came out clean from dishwasher without pre-scrubbing. I like that the cover can be used as another baking dish, doubles your baking capacity. You won’t go wrong with this dish.

This is a beautiful set of clear glass casserole dish with clear glass lid. Both pieces are oven safe and can be used for baking various dishes. Do not, however, use them under the broiler or on an open flame. I also don't think I would use them on the stovetop.
