This chain was to be part of a pair of 14k gold chain necklaces the I have with lock box clasps. I had a 22-inch chain my mother had given me years before. So, I purchased a 20-inch chain with the lock box clasp. Every time I put the two on together it's upsetting. How inexperienced I was when it came to buying jewelry. The Nuragold chain was 5mm in width lying flat on a table, but it is a much thinner chain when it comes to the actual thickness. Don't buy gold jewelry without first finding out the weight of the item and comparing with like items. In fact, when spending large amounts of cash on jewelry you should do your buying in person. Comparison shop. Putting on your jewelry shouldn't ruin your day with a bad decision you made in the past.
