While searching the Internet for a DIY solution to upgrade my Dell notebook, I came across this product. Instead of paying the “Geek Squad” or somebody else to upgrade my Dell Notebook, I decided to do it myself. I bought this kit and it presented well, the packaging and the nice aluminum case. The software was pretty easy to use, it just takes a while to clone (a lot of data). But the end result was great. I'm 63, retired, and semi-technical (the old DOS days). I used YouTube to find a video to open my Dell, it helped a lot. I upgraded my 256GB M2 SSD to 1 TB M2 SSD. I'm now using my old 256GB SSD from the Dell in the aluminum case as an external drive, all around it was a win/win. I highly recommend this product . . .

I've been shopping on Amazon for years and this is the very first time that I have ever written a review. I have an old Dell that was just sitting around that I purchased in 2020. It's a hybrid system with a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. I figured that I would upgrade drives. Following their directions to the letter I "cloned" the SSD and replaced it. Turned it on and everything seemed okay and then it froze. I tried to reboot several times and received error messages each time. I put the old SSD back in and everything was fine. So, I figured "What the heck? I'll try it again". No, no, and NO! TOTALLY bricked my computer! Thankfully I always back up my files and I keep a Windows Recovery USB drive on hand. So I just installed Windows to the new SSD and downloaded my backed-up files which is probably what I should have done int the first place. Long story short (I know. It's too late for that now.) DO NOT use this "product"!

This cloning kit made transferring my data quick and easy. I was upgrading my computer storage. I take a lot of pictures so I always need extra space. Following the instructions was pretty easy. The only thing to do was to plug it in and wait for it to finish. All my files were all safe and sound. Note: I did have some trouble putting the aluminum case back on. There is a small spring loaded pin that needs to be inserted first. Make sure you press the pin down before pushing the case back on. (After re-reading the instructions, it does say to do this in step 5.) Other than that, didn't have any problems.

I used this to upgrade 2 Dell G7 7500 computers with 4tb M-2 SSD. The first one directed me and I followed the directions. It cloned it well but left it with disc errors that the computer fixed. The second one (same brand SSD) bricked the computer. Don't know why it worked once and not the other, but it did. My 5 rating is for working 50% of the time.

I work in IT and i have done many PC clones before in the past, so I figured this would be straight forward. Following their instructions, as soon as you install the software it automatically found the correct Source and it saw my new M.2 drive. Great that it did that right away. And by default, Dynamic Resize was automatically selected. It shows how much space the new drive will have. All this was great. Keep in mind I was using Windows 11 Version 23H2. Heres where it went wrong. Once you start the process, after a few moments it restarts the computer. During this time its supposed to boot straight into NTI software to start the cloning process. It instead went to an error screen "Secure boot violation: invalid signature detected". I saw this message and was like, ok i guess this cant be done with Secure boot turned on. So i clicked restart and went into Bios to disable Secure Boot. It then went into a loop stating there was an error and the cloning would not work. There is another option to exit. This would not work either it would keep gonig back to the same screen. The 3rd option was the Help Option NTI left there. Reading the instructions, it gave options in case its stuck in a loop. One of the things to try was to start Windows 11 using Windows 11 recovery disk, which i already had. So I was like, no problem probably just the boot is corrupt, I will just have to remove the NTI Enclosure, place in the usb with my Windows 11 recovery and start Windows there. When I go into Windows 11 to check if there was data..... It was all gone already. Lol what a waste of time, all videos and Pictures were wiped. Fortunately i backed up files in case this happened. But I purchased this to save the hassle of placing all data back onto the computer and installing all of the software I had back onto the computer. Including the preferences settings and all drivers needed. Buyer Beware!!! Would this have worked if Secure Boot was disabled before i kicked off the process, Maybe... Maybe it wont work well with Windows 11 23H2.....But if I were you, it may not be worth the chance. I had Amazon start the refund process. I am lucky to have made sure all data was backed up. i didnt need to spend 50 dollars to wipe my drive. I can do that on my own.

When the SSD on my current laptop is running low, I purchase a 1 TB NVMe SSD and this product. This product package includes an aluminum case dor MVMe SSD, a USB cable and a software download card. After downloading and installing the software, I was able to clone the contents of my current laptop onto the new 1TB NVMe SSD. The process was quick and straightforward. I replaced the old SSD in my laptop with the new 1 TB SSD, and keep the old SSD in the aluminum case for external storage. With this, my laptop should serve my needs for a couple more years.
