Description

With a single click of the mouse Echo will clone your entire hard drive (i.e. Operating System, Programs, Data, Partitions, etc.) to another drive. Dynamic Resize cloning method uses Echo’s smart cloning technology and will automatically resize the original drive’s partitions to fit onto a smaller or larger replacement drive. This is the default and recommended cloning method. Cloning in 3 easy steps! STEP 1. Install your SSD into the enclosure case. STEP 2. Connect the cased SSD to your PC using the USB cable (and adapter if necessary). STEP 3. Use NTI Echo cloning software to clone from your source drive to the SSD.     • There's free software, but I had problems with it, so I bought this and it worked great!
I bought a 1TB SSD and needed to clone my windows PC 250GB SSD onto it. I burned clonezilla and gpartd onto a disk and it appeared to do a great job cloning. I moved the 3 Windows recovery partitions to the end and expanded the data partition to use the rest of the 1TB. It looked great, but when I plugged it in, Windows couldn't boot and said there was a resource it couldn't find. It didn't give me access to recovery, and I tried a bunch of different things, but couldn't get it to work. No clue what the issue was, but rather than fighting it further, I just recloned using NVI Echo. It was very friendly and easy to use, and it expanded the data partition automatically. And better yet, it booted and appears to be identical to the original SSD, with 750GB extra space. ... show more

    • This Wiped Laptop Drive!!!!
I work in IT and i have done many PC clones before in the past, so I figured this would be straight forward. Following their instructions, as soon as you install the software it automatically found the correct Source and it saw my new M.2 drive. Great that it did that right away. And by default, Dynamic Resize was automatically selected. It shows how much space the new drive will have. All this was great. Keep in mind I was using Windows 11 Version 23H2. Heres where it went wrong. Once you start the process, after a few moments it restarts the computer. During this time its supposed to boot straight into NTI software to start the cloning process. It instead went to an error screen "Secure boot violation: invalid signature detected". I saw this message and was like, ok i guess this cant be done with Secure boot turned on. So i clicked restart and went into Bios to disable Secure Boot. It then went into a loop stating there was an error and the cloning would not work. There is another option to exit. This would not work either it would keep gonig back to the same screen. The 3rd option was the Help Option NTI left there. Reading the instructions, it gave options in case its stuck in a loop. One of the things to try was to start Windows 11 using Windows 11 recovery disk, which i already had. So I was like, no problem probably just the boot is corrupt, I will just have to remove the NTI Enclosure, place in the usb with my Windows 11 recovery and start Windows there. When I go into Windows 11 to check if there was data..... It was all gone already. Lol what a waste of time, all videos and Pictures were wiped. Fortunately i backed up files in case this happened. But I purchased this to save the hassle of placing all data back onto the computer and installing all of the software I had back onto the computer. Including the preferences settings and all drivers needed. Buyer Beware!!! Would this have worked if Secure Boot was disabled before i kicked off the process, Maybe... Maybe it wont work well with Windows 11 23H2.....But if I were you, it may not be worth the chance. I had Amazon start the refund process. I am lucky to have made sure all data was backed up. i didnt need to spend 50 dollars to wipe my drive. I can do that on my own. ... show more

While searching the Internet for a DIY solution to upgrade my Dell notebook, I came across this product. Instead of paying the “Geek Squad” or somebody else to upgrade my Dell Notebook, I decided to do it myself. I bought this kit and it presented well, the packaging and the nice aluminum case. The software was pretty easy to use, it just takes a while to clone (a lot of data). But the end result was great. I'm 63, retired, and semi-technical (the old DOS days). I used YouTube to find a video to open my Dell, it helped a lot. I upgraded my 256GB M2 SSD to 1 TB M2 SSD. I'm now using my old 256GB SSD from the Dell in the aluminum case as an external drive, all around it was a win/win. I highly recommend this product . . . ... show more

    • (Almost) Easier than it should be
My Laptop Dell 7786 had a C (ssd 128GB) and a D ssd (4TB) drive. First pass, the software wanted to put C on to D. It took a second startup and a few extra seconds to recognize the USB new drive as a choice destination. A semi-perfect upgrade ! I highly recommend this.

    • Totally Useless!
I've been shopping on Amazon for years and this is the very first time that I have ever written a review. I have an old Dell that was just sitting around that I purchased in 2020. It's a hybrid system with a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. I figured that I would upgrade drives. Following their directions to the letter I "cloned" the SSD and replaced it. Turned it on and everything seemed okay and then it froze. I tried to reboot several times and received error messages each time. I put the old SSD back in and everything was fine. So, I figured "What the heck? I'll try it again". No, no, and NO! TOTALLY bricked my computer! Thankfully I always back up my files and I keep a Windows Recovery USB drive on hand. So I just installed Windows to the new SSD and downloaded my backed-up files which is probably what I should have done int the first place. Long story short (I know. It's too late for that now.) DO NOT use this "product"! ... show more

I needed to make operating system copies of my bootable ssd hard drive on my Laptop computer because I was converting it from Win 10 to Win 11. The program and kit worked flawlessly and allowed me to copy the 1 TB ssd onto a 2 TB ssd easily and with no problems.
