  • Works!
These work good for a quick repair. Not sure bout longevity but we shall see. I got some that go 2 feet in the ground which do work better but again these do work great for a quick repair.

  • Nrspp Heavy Duty Steel Fence Post Repair Stake, Strong & Works Great
Nrspp Heavy Duty Steel Fence Post Repair Stake. Our Fence gate is leaning because of the posts. We have tried different post stakes and this type is the best for our posts. Our post is too wide for the type that fits over the edges of the post and this one can fit any post. This one fits flush against the post and my husband used a 10 lb. hammer to drive in the double stake. We cannot get the stake completely in the ground because of horizontal wood at the bottom. We put this on the outside of the fence because we already have repair stakes on the inside. We are staking both sides of the posts for maximum strength. The screws with the set were fine but my Husband needed more length to get through the slat on top of the post. As you see nothing is fitting perfectly for our fence but we are impressed with how this has strengthened our fence. I recommend this for a repair to give you more time to a keep a fence. 9-8-23 ... show more

  • Worked Well
They advertise this unit for use with wooden fence posts. My fence post was metal, and it had rusted off at the base, where it went into the concrete footing. See the first picture. My first problem was that the concrete footer was too wide for the repair unit - if I put the repair unit directly against the concrete footer, it would not reach the fence post. But then I realized that I could put a wooden spacer between the repair unit and the fence post. I tried to drive the repair unit into the ground, but I had some large rocks in the ground and I couldn't drive it down. So, I dug out the area next to the fence post and removed the rocks, then put the repair unit against the concrete footer and packed the dirt back into the hole. Second picture. Finally, I measured the width of the needed spacer and cut one to fit. Then drilled holes through the spacer and fence post and put bolts in. See third picture. The problems I had were not the with the repair unit - it was fine. But one thing that would help is if the made the offset just a bit longer to accommodate wide concrete footers. All-in-all, I'm satisfied. Once I got it all installed, the fence post is mostly stable - maybe not as stable as it was when new, but this is a lot easier than taking everything out. ... show more

  • Great for a Wobbly Fence
Outside of our home, we have an old redwood fence that has been around and standing for many years. My husband is always trying to strengthen the worse parts of the fence, but there is only so much that layering random pieces of wood and screwing in long screws can do. My husband gives it a good try, but after a while, something more durable is needed and these are it. The long spikes simply stick into the ground and the shape is pretty brillant, and they support our fence very well. My husband has ordered a few from Amazon before and he found it interesting that these are in two pieces, so you put a screw in the support center to connect the two and make them stronger. They are a little tougher to install, but that simply means that they are real and they will last for a long while. They are great for old, wobbly fences and I appreciate my husband's effort to keep such a nice redwood fence standing. ... show more

  • Assembly Required
I ordered this product at the same time I ordered similar items from other manufacturers. This fence post repair stake was the only product that needed to be bolted together (the other brands came welded in one piece). I'm still recommending it, simply because it is doing what it was designed to do.

  • Very sturdy fend post repair stake
Since I live in termite heaven in Texas, this is the second post repair I've purchased in my life. I was expecting something similar to the one I bought from the local big box hardware store, but this one is way sturdier, longer, and stronger!! This is actually two pieces of very heavy steel that bolt together and then bolt to the fence. You definitely need some strength to get the stake into the ground, and an impact drill will definitely make your job easier. My fence is fixed and sturdy and hopefully the termites will stay away! Highly recommend rather than all that trouble digging up your old fence post. ... show more

  • Great idea for sure, but it didn't work on the first post I tried. Worked great on the 2nd one.
Our fence is a little crooked, it leans into our neighbor's yard. I thought this would be a great way to fix it. One post in the middle was especially crooked, but when I tried to drive this thing into the ground, I found some rocks and it would go any further. I had better luck on a second post, where I drove in the stake and then used an impact gun to drive in the screws. It straightened that most and sorta straightened a couple of others. It looks much better now. ... show more

  • Good alternitive to replacing a post (at least temporary)
I have a fence post that was leaning quite a bit. It sits behind some trees and is hard to get to. This was a good alternative to replacing the post. I'm not sure how long it will last but should at least buy me some time before replacing post. Who knows it may last a very long time.
