    • Cat doesn't like it - still sneezing.

Our cat is 14 years old. I believe she picked this virus up at the vet. I've had cats all my life and never had a cat with a respiratory infection. When did this virus start? It's not even listed in my cat care book form the 80s. We've tried everything. The vet gave her antibiotics, then Famvir - all to no avail. We tried this - she won't eat it unless really hungry in the morning and have to use very little. We've used warm compress-slight steam to try to loosen nasal secretions or open up nasal passage, but nothing is working that great. This is a lot of work!! Then we have to keep our two other cats away from her, pick up food all the time, then cannot share anymore. Does anyone have any genuine working tips? How many times can I bring her to the vet? Her blood work is good. This is a lot of work. In any event we try to give it every day but sometimes we have to throw her wet food out which is another waste. Some days are better than others so maybe it is doing somethig . . . ... show more

    • All 3 cats cannot detect this in their food.

All 3 of my picky cats apparently cannot detect this lysine in their food and they are not easily fooled. They can sniff out any supplements that I add in their food and will refuse to eat, no matter how well it is mixed into the food. Until now, I've never been able to find just ONE lysine product that all 3 cats would agree on . One cat liked the chews for awhile ...... then he didn't. Another loved the gel/paste type ..... until he didn't. The 3rd cat has hated every single lysine product I've tried to give him until I tried this one. They absolutely cannot detect it when it's mixed into their wet food. They have been on this product for about a year and still continue to eat their food when this is added. They each get 1/8 teaspoon maintenance dosage daily, per my vet's recommendations. If they have a flare up with runny eyes, sneezing etc. they get 1/4 tsp. daily until the symptoms are gone, usually in a few days. I'm so glad I tried this product because now it's stress free (for all of us) when getting them to take their daily dosage of lysine. ... show more

Time will tell if this is effective for my little friend. One thing though....It is pain in the tukiss to measure 1/8 a tsp. It would be a great help to have put in a small measuree spoon for the dosing...just sayin'.
