I have had several futons over the years and this is the first time that I spent more that $150 on one. Installation was easy, I love the color of this futon, but for the price....I was still expecting more. Also, this thing is super long! I did not fully pay attention to the dimensions of this futon and was surprised that I was able to fully lay on it and still have room. I am 5’3 and still had a good 7 inches left of space. The futon came in one large box. I thought, like a lot of futons, that this one came as two pieces. I was wrong and very surprised to find that the center of the futon has hinges. So it came folded in half like a taco. Once you unfold the futon you can add the legs in the center to keep it straight and then start working on the arms, which are placed inside of the bottom cushions. The outer legs are attached to the arms of the futon, I was quite surprised by this as well but it has held up great. The futon is not wobbly and I will say I haven’t had the opportunity to use the futon as a bed yet, but the back legs for the upper cushions are easy to pull out. I would definitely encourage anyone to have a buddy when installing this futon, it’s still heavy! The reason I took off some stars for this review is mainly for the comfort and ware of this item. If you take a close look at my photo, you can see on the right cushion that the fabric has these lines going across it. I tend to sit on that side of the couch and since I’ve had it (which has only been for less than 2 months) the cushion has started to sink. Comfort was not an issue for me when receiving this futon. I have had cheaper futons that have been way more comfortable but I am not a big complainer for this futon not feeling like a cloud. However now I am upset that the fiber is shifting so easily and the springs are becoming more apparent after just 2 months of use. I also do not use this futon often and I am only 135 lbs, I am very disappointed in the cushions. I would have thought that for almost $300 for this futon that the padding on this would have been way better than the even $100 futons I have bought in the past.

I’m the type of person that does painstaking hours long research into products before I buy them. I took about a month to decide on this futon but it so far has exceeded my expectations. This futon was bought with the sole purpose to last for one final year of law school. Pulling it out of the box I feared it would be unstable and weak. After the assembly I realized it is quite sturdy and comfortable. Even where the futon folds down flat and the dip in the middle isn’t problematic. I’ve had no problems falling asleep and I have a 12” memory foam mattress topper on my bed so I’m all for comfort. I am 5’1 and 140 pounds my fiancé is 5’8 and 165 pounds and we both can fit on the futon together as well as individually with ease over 6 foot might start to be slightly inconvenient (try it diagonally). At the end of the day it looks great and is functional. I feel as if you aren’t dogging it out it might have some longevity. Sit pretty/handsome!!

Amazin delivered this right into my living room! Then the fun part of putting it together. It was fairly straightforward, the arms were the tricky part. Small tool and my hands are not as young as they used to be. Very mid century modern design. It is firm to sit on. But I like that. Have not slept on it to know how that is.

I am impressed with the couch. I thought it would be really flimsy or low quality to be shipped like it is. I expected it to feel more like cardboard, it be honest. I'm actually really impressed. It's sturdy enough for me (6'2" and 200lb) but I don't flop down on it or anything. I could see breaking it in half if we had a house full of teenage boys. But if you're just using it for occasional sitting, pull-out bed, then I think it should last a few years. We have it in a guest room. Also, it's nice if you have to move up tight stairs, this couch fits where non-foldable couches could never go. This should be obvious to most people, if you abuse your current furniture, you will wreck this thing, because it's not built like big-family furniture, if you catch my drift. If you take care of things, you should be pleased with this nice couch.

Was a bit skeptical looking into the couch, but you get tremendous value, it looks great, and it’s very comfortable in couch form (not my intent to fully use as futon at all times, may want to invest in a softener/comforter).

This is a great styled futon for the price point. It is packaged for delivery is a very compact way ( basically folded in half) which two sturdy men can easily lift and bring upstairs. Assembly was easy to do. All zippers worked great and did not malfunction as other reviewers mentioned. This futon is very sturdy once assembled. The back cushions conveniently store the extra support legs in the back of the cushion when using as a bed. My only reason for 4 stars is due to comfort. It has very stiff cushions, which in time may become softer with use, and feels a bit hard to sit on. It is a futon after all, and is not a big comfy couch. The size is great for smaller apartments.

Bought this futon about a month ago to use as a couch / extra bed for guests in our home office, and we’ve been extremely happy with it. The futon is large enough for 3 people to sit comfortably, and is comfortable to sit or lay down - the cushions are firm like other reviews stated, but they do not feel hard, and I don’t feel any bars through the cushions. Easy to assemble, though the extra legs for stability when laid flat were a little difficult to find.
