Where do I start? I recently left the Samsung ecosystem for the Nothing brand and have no regrets. I now have the Phone (4a) Pro, the Ear (3), Headphones (a) and the CMF Watch 3 Pro. First off, the phone looks AMAZING once you've got it in hand. The solid aluminum build is extremely well built, the "techy" looking camera bump is a great aestethic choice as I've gotten many compliments since I bought the phone. I chose the Nothing brand because of the look of their products. No other company is doing what Nothing is doing and I commend them for it. The processor is snappy and handles mostly anything I throw at it. The shots I've gotten from the camera is on par if not better than my previous Galaxy phones. But the one thing I absolutely love the most is the Glyph Matrix. It's highly customizable and you can even upload simple images to show up when you get certain notifications. For example, I put an image of the letter "W" for WhatsApp notifications, a smiley face for text messages, the letter "a" for Amazon notifications so on and so forth. I mostly have the current time showing on the Glyph Matrix and people always ask me what kind of phone I have. The 5,080mah battery is absolutely solid and I easily get a whole day of battery life with heavy use. It's sad that a lot of people have never heard of the Nothing brand. I've been following Nothing since they came out with the Phone (1) and I've always admired the design choices they've made. This phone is sleek and useful! I'd say this phone is on par with the Samsung variants, maybe just a tad better. There's a learning curve to some of their software, but I'm not really interested in that aspect of the phone, so it doesn't bother me. The camera is REALLY GOOD! The overall sound is pretty impressive as well (YouTube, VLC and Twitch were used)! Some notable things about this phone: •Minimal Nothingphone bloat, easily hireable or can uninstall... •Battery life was 2.5 days with some moderate usage. •The screen is BRIGHT, even when turned down to 50% or so. •Swipe works perfectly, and the predictive text is usually correct. •I haven't found an otterbox style case for this phone yet, but it comes with a case - so win! Phone case is slightly thin, but it's easy to grip while using the device. •It's a pretty light phone. •Verizon connectivity is possible AND DOES work, but it isn't the best. I'm using a physical SIM card. •I am also using a Samsung Watch 7, and even though this watch is connected to my nothingphone, it shows as I left my phone behind (even if I'm actively using the phone while wearing the watch) •No issue with OEM Unlocking AFAIK, this phone can be rooted, but I'm not sure there are any CFW's available for it yet. It's a fantastic product for the price point. This brand doesn't always hit but they did with this one. Aluminum body so it doesn't shatter like others in the past. Glass is dope but can be risky. The camera is good enough to not feel like you're on a budget flagship. Sound quality from the phone speaker is bad honestly, but not a lot of people just listen to the phone speaker anymore. It's too quiet at low volumes and jumps drastically louder around the 30-40% volume It's a nothing phone so the ease of use is there, it's a simple but fun to customize UI. I personally didn't like the lack of customization in the past but they stepped it up recently. It's a little too wide of a phone for me but I'm a small handed dude. Makes the grip awkward. It works in the USA on Mint for sure, and I believe T-Mobile due to them being on the same bands. It's connectivity is practically the same as my GFS 14 pro on mint so it's great. ... show more

Satisfied with my 4a pro. I've been using OnePlus phones for the last... I don't know since the 6t and have loved using them. My latest phone was the 11 and it's served me well. My wife uses a 13. Battery life on my 11 was toast and the back glass has been shattered for about a year so figured I should buy a phone and would have loved to buy another oneplus phone but I'm unsure whether they will continue to serve the United States so I decided to try something different. I've tried other non-oneplus phones, always flagship level phones, stuff with min of 12gb ram over the years only to be frustrated and return them or sell them. The 4a pro doesn't compare to the speeds I was getting from my 16GB 11. it runs crisply and I'm only noticed slight or minor delays running some apps that I didn't feel in my OnePlus devices. They are minimal and I haven't wanted to throw the phone against the wall. While the glyph matrix maybe gimmicky I like it and the phone stands out from others. I've had others ask me what that thing on the back of my phone is. I love the metal body and it feels solid in my hands. I've never been one to magnetically charge so that was not an issue for me and I have no problem plugging my phone into a charger to charge it. Phone feels good in my hand, does mostly everything I needed to so far.... My only gripe and where I really feel the step down in quality and something that I used often for my profession is the camera. The camera is definitely not as good as my OnePlus cameras have been and some people don't even like the OnePlus cameras so if you think OnePlus cameras aren't good you will not enjoy this camera experience at all. The 50 megapixel camera does not do wide-angle and only uses 4:3 ratio. You also have to change it from 12 to 50 overtime you open the camera app. You have to use the 12 megapixel to do wide angle and quality suffers. It also seems to struggle with lighting. All of my pictures are darker than they were with my other phones. The flash is barely visible when needed. The price is decent though mine is the 12 GB version and I feel like it's a decent value for what I got. And I am enjoying it more than I thought I would. If only the camera was what I was expecting. If it lat me a couple years and doesn't slow down a bunch I'll survive. ... show more

Sound quality is perfect for me! Not an exaggerated sound but it is loud and clear for most of the sounds!! I have being using the Nothing phone for just 2 weeks and as of it I am totally happy with my purchase! Great sound, image quality is great, only thing I was worried was the battery longevity which I can tell is not out of this world but it lasts me a whole day without charging until the nights maybe the next day. It stays super cool no extra heating sensed. Be very wary of accessories since I had a struggle finding them at launch but now they are available and good ones(still waiting for Great ones like Spigen come on!!!). Overall I will give this phone for the price a modest 5 out 5! Just half the price of flagship phones!! It says it's unlocked but no mobile carrier in AZ takes it using it's IMEI number. I lost time and I'm working on getting a refund. I wouldn't waste my time or ask all providers if they accept the phone before you buy it

Unfortunately, I have got give the 4a Pro a "mid" review as it is NOT fully unlocked, and not compatible with Verizon. Unlocked typically means a device works on all carriers. Its buried in the listing fine print that the 4a Pro is "not recommended with Verizon", but still implies that it works. This is categorically incorrect as I spent 1 hour with Tier 2 VZW support trying to get the IMEIs for this device recognized on their CDMA network. To be fair, the 4a Pro feels extremely quality, and is very sleek. I pre-ordered this device weeks ago with high anticipation, and physically the phone didn't let down. I did not have time to test the full Nothing version of Android (since it wouldn't register on Verizon), but what I did experience was postitive - the screen and OS were both responsive, smooth and fluid. Speaker quality was great and volume was louder than my old S22 Ultra without distortion. The 4a Pro is potentially a very high value option, considering the price point and what Nothing is trying to do to disrupt the cell phone market. But do not consider this device if you are a Verizon customer or leveraging a similar CDMA based carrier! ... show more
