I had been looking for a new phone on and off for a few years, and really started looking in the past few months since my existing phone was old. So old, that current apps would randomly crash. Not fancy games; no, Google messages, email, YouTube. I had an LG G8X Thinq Dual Screen(I really miss the separate/dual screens) :( It had the same specs as a Galaxy S10. Both the G8X and the S10 came out at the same time in 2019. Why Not Samsung?! Samsung, is outrageously over priced, and is full of bloat apps, and duplicate apps. Some, like KNOX you maybe shouldn't remove. There has been absolutely no outward innovation from Samsung in over 10 generations. All the phones look the same and all run over $1000. The phone also runs several AI agents, that I am not a fan of. The folding screens are a travesty across the board. 2 or 3 separate screens is the way to go. Why not Apple? Apple's history of 'playing games'(the battery limiting fiasco, fighting with app makers, internal planned obsolescence, $%&ty phone repair support without paying a kidney, for AppleCare, which the company continually tries to say 'does not cover X, Y, Z'. If you didn't have problems, great! I've worked in an Apple care approved repair company, and the number of times we had to turn down customers because AppleCare didn't cover the perfectly reasonable repair, was bonkers! Then we get to the sky high price for the phone, and the all intrusive Siri AI. "Hard No" Why Nothing? It's different, and leans toward use, instead of flash! Besides the Glyph features, the phone is really meant to 'get things done' In the settings, you have the options to use the normal flashy app icons, or 'grey scale' icons. You can also opt to show or hide the app names. Less clutter, so you can focus on 'that thing you are trying to do'. Yes the Nothing Phone 3 does have AI, as EVERY$$%%@#$THING does these days. Sadly, you can not fully disable or remap the 'AI' button. However, with a few minutes of tinkering in the settings, you can mostly disable the 'Nothing AI' features. Now the phone works as I really like it, plane and 'bare bones'. Great Job Nothing! The "Glyph" features are cool, make no mistake. It's nice to have...it's kind of a 'mullet phone'(LOL Sorry). Business up front, and party in the back. LOL Spin the bottle, dice, and the sun clock are neat and great for the odd party. The dice glyph has already settled several decisions with my friends and I, with a quick 'odds or evens' decision. LOL. The phone does have wireless charging. The coil is hidden under the decorative back façade. It's a little wonky and difficult to position on some wireless chargers(especially some portable battery banks with wireless charging), because the coil is shaped to make room for the 'glyph' button. But, it does work. Verdict, I'm a big fan of the phone and will likely stay with Nothing if they continue on this track. The camera is much better than the G8X, but I don't really care about a camera. I take more photos of serial numbers(I work it tech) than Instagram photos. If I can read the serial number, that's all I need. I'm not a fan of AI and I'm not really a mobile gamer. - No/minimal AI? Check! - Camera that works? Check! - 12/16GB of RAM for multi-tasking? Check! - Wireless Charging? Check! - Clean UI? Check - The speakers are a big improvement over the G8X, still very much 'phone speakers', but a nice boost, to movies/videos chilling at home. * I don't really have anything to say about the CPU(Snapdragon 8s Gen4) Not the Elite. I really haven't seen a problem not having the flagship proc. As the Nothing CEO said, they focused on a really good phone experience, and that's what they've done. No issue! The only things, I would change are personal nit pick gripes. - Option to disable/remove AI across the board - Reduce text/UI spacing. I like a really compact interface. I want to be able to see as much information on the screen as possible. - Make the wireless charging coil 'easier' to position. Great job Nothing!

Amazing phone. It's barely been a few days but so far it feels like this is what I've been wanting in a phone for so long. It feels like the phone works for me and not I for the phone. All the smart features feel well thought out and not shoved down your throat like other ecosystems. If you have their headphones and watches it feels solid, not like apple, but for the price you're paying that feels less like a problem and more like a feature.

If you're interested enough to even know or be looking into Nothing's products (particularly their phones) I can say without a doubt, you %100 will NOT be disappointed!!! Phone 3 (black) unlocked 16gb RAM 512gb Storage (no SD slot) Nothing OS 4.0 (Android 16) Running on Verizon network Coming from my previous phone which was a mid tier Motorola (construction work, particularly roofing, didn't bode well for expensive devices as they tend not to enjoy 2 story falls) this was a quantum leap in every aspect. I have owned and purchased pretty much every brand of high end device either for myself or my daughters and this will still be choice moving forward. The build quality is second to NONE. Outside of the design language, this could come in an Apple or Samsung box and you wouldn't be none the wiser. Anyone who says different is a lie. Obviously cosmetic appeal is entirely subjective, but as far as it's choice of materials and build quality they are 1:1 with all other flagships. Performance is beyond what I could have asked for. This being a little skewed in my situation as I came directly from a very mid tier device nonetheless the real world performance is indiscernible from my oldest iPhone or my youngests Galaxy. I haven't owned a device with an AMOLED display in years, and I forgot just how much of a difference it makes. The 120hz refresh is rock solid, and only time I could get it to drop frames/stutter is with multiple videos playing (verified w/ dev tools 'show FPS' option) which was easy to test with the multitasking options in Nothing OS 4.0. Synthetics will show a performance difference but the user will NEVER notice it in real world use. Add in the additional customization offered on too if what Android 16 already does, this makes Samsung and most other Android devices seem locked down as an iOS device. If your even partially intrigued by the Glyph Matrix, I can say you will actually find legitimate uses for it beyond it's novelty which I was more than impressed by. The overall polish of the OS would have me forgiving anyone who forgets they are using an Android device, Nothing has done a fantastic job of eliminating anything that feels 'generic' from their OS and making into something that feels completely unique (and that is in my opinion). Battery life is what you would expect from a high end, large format, flagship tier device although I do wish it was a little better, this is an area that it cannot match the likes of an iphone in. Even using multiple efficiency options like adaptive brightness etc. I'm still a little unimpressed. Although I must add that when it comes to charging, its fast as hell when using the factory cord with a compatible fast charge PD box. I don't recall the actual charge specs of the top of my head, but it's fast enough to heat up the cord substantiality. If I had to rate this I would give it 9/10 as I don't believe anything is perfect. Nothing WILL be my next device after my experience with the Phone 3. The only person I would tell to consider something else would be in regards to your carrier. The biggest downfall i see is the fact none of the major carriers in the US offer the Nothing kine. I am on Verizon and I literally just pulled my SIM out of my previous device, put it in my P3, and it instantly connected with absolutely ZERO issues. I have read that other carrier's do not play nice with Nothing devices as of now, so I suggest doing your research if you are on any carrier other than Verizon currently.

Great phone overall my reduced rating is that the phone I was sent is unable to be activated on eSIM (its enabled on the phone for eSIM2) on Tmobile. IMEI 1 or 2 are not recognized by the process in the app or from the Tlife agent. I had to escalate to a supervisor to have them activate by the EID which is their system reads as a generic IoT device. Its very strange as their website shows the phone is fully supported. The phone will also not recognize esim to esim transfers on Android between devices which is very strange. Otherwise the phone works great with snappy processing and a great feel and interface. Camera results are great to my eye with a very moody contrast look. Battery life is outstanding. It feels just as fast as my S25 Ultra so no concerns there even though the processor is technically weaker.

September 2025 USA, T-Mobile TLDR: In summary, I think this phone is good - I'd give it 4.5 stars, as it checks most the boxes for me. It lives up to its promises on display, battery life, connectivity, macro camera, and performance is good enough that I haven't noticed any issues. The NothingOS software is very good, both from functionality perspective but also an aesthetics perspective. The critiques include bad color grading on pictures & inconsistent camera performance and missing features like SD card slot & headphone jack that are important to me, personally. If you're looking for a higher end phone outside of the 3 major brands in the US, and none of the compromises are deal breakers for you, I would say that the Nothing Phone 3 is a perfectly viable and competitive option. Please forgive the essay - I've been mulling over my thoughts on this phone, and my lengthy, over-thought decision process leading up to the purchase for several months, and felt like I'd take some time to get that all down. First, I've come to the conclusion that most every phone is going to be a compromise for most people. There are several factors that I care about, that many might find don't matter. My previous phone was a Sony Xperia 1 III, which I switched to after being a lifelong Samsung user (started on the Vibrant, ended on the S20FE). I switched to the Xperia because Samsung was follwing Apple in removing features like notification LED, expandable SD storage, and headphone jacks, and becoming much lest consumer friendly. At the time, the Xperia seemed to be a perfect fit, retaining all of these features + dedicated 2 stage shutter button, being made in Japan, and with a very nice camera system (burst shooting & auto-eye focus for some great animal pictures). Unfortunately, my Xperia's software support ended sometime last year, and Sony stopped releasing (absurdly expensive) newer models in the US. Since updates ended I had noticed significant decline in battery life, more crashes, and was ready to move on because of several negative aspects I had noticed over my time owning the phone. The factors that I didn't realize were important when choosing a-non "big-3" phone for use in the US were the antenna bands in the US & other network compatibility considerations (no wifi calling, GPS issues using maps), and software update support length. After a lengthy process researching these above topics & watching many reviews of many different phones, I settled on buying the Nothing Phone 3, my first experience with a Nothing product. I purchased it during it's release period when the 512GB version was discounted to $799. Features that made me go with the Nothing Phone 3: -UK based company with relatively admirable mission of producing quality 'budget' options, focus on providing a quality alternative to Apple/Samsung/Google. Big focus on community, seem to have a history of taking customer feedback somewhat seriously. -Stated OS/software goal of reducing addiction to phone and stimulation. Goal of providing tools to promote 'healthier' use & creativity. I'm a pretty heavy user & really appreciate this goal. -Relatively transparent youtube content where much of their philosophy & strategy is discussed. -Adding interesting new features - like glyph lights/matrix, as opposed to removing features. -T-mobile network antenna bands are the same as the newest Samsung (used kimovil website for this research). -Promise of 5 years of OS updates, with an additional 2 years of security updates (7 year total support) Compromises I understood before purchasing NP3: -Manufacture location not really noted anywhere. General research suggests China. Would much rather support a product that has some statement of manufacturing ethics...but options are limited there. Would prefer them to be a bit more transparent on this. -No expandable SD storage (almost a dealbreaker for me, minimal cost/space in phone to include, leaving out forces consumer to buy expensive upgrade) -No headphone jack -Processor is 1 step down from highest end & that used on similarly priced Samsung/others. Noteworthy Pros: -Cell service & phone related stuff is very good. To me, indistinguishable from using one of the other major brands. -I really like NothingOS, the monochrome coloring really suits what I like aesthetically. Included Nothing widgets are pretty clean. Already seen 2 fairly significant updates, so feels very promising that it will continue to improve and introduce more features. -Performance is fine. Screen looks good and is bright enough to use in direct sunlight. Haven't noticed any issues, don't really have any critiques. I don't play any mobile games, though. Sounds like the processor in the NP3 is a bit less power efficient than competition & screen refresh rate doesn't go as low, so battery life may not be as good as it could have been, but.... -Battery life is very good - I tend to leave a lot of youtube running in background while working at desk, or lots of google maps - so typically lots of screen-on time. My Xperia needed 1+ charge/day. With the NP3, I can usually last a day with 10-20% left over. A less heavy user could probably last almost 2 days. Will be interesting to see how SiC performs over time, I might update with any observations. -I like the way it looks, the asymmetry was a bit weird in renders, but the details on the rest of phone pull the eye away and it's neat. (I have the black colored phone) -The macro camera mode is quite neat and definitely the stand-out of the cameras. Generally fine as a quick point-and-shooter. Pictures attached. -I really like the Essential Notifications feature for the glyph matrix, and the ability to create custom icons on it. I actually find it's quite useful, and to some extent is achieving their stated goal of only turning the phone over for something that I feel is worth checking. -Essential space if neat. I've found it's situationally useful. Saves me from having to dig through pictures & screenshots to find something I wanted to make a mental note of. Integration into other apps could be better. Button is fine, but I'd probably prefer it be replaced with a dedicated camera shutter button. Cons/Critiques/Disappointments: -It took over 3 weeks to arrive (I think I must have ordered right after they fulfilled all pre-orders and had to restock). -As of late September 2025, there's not that much additional utility out there for the glyph matrix & it's dedicated button. I think fully banking on the community to come up with uses to justify the matrix is questionable. Hopefully something comes together. -Would like to see a bit more color/opacity customization on the widgets (slightly different gray than google widgets is kinda annoying) -Would like some more clarity & customization on Essential notifications regarding order of priority -Cameras pick up very good detail, but color grading is bad. Oversaturated/weird contrast. Inconsistent between lenses. Sometimes lags between taking pictures. I personally find the AI sharpening annoying & nothing special. I personally prefer color that is more true to life/what I see. Pictures attached. -Update logs suggest they have improved on this, I haven't done enough testing to comment on it. -Camera custom color grading/profiles is a very good idea. So far, when I've used it doesn't feel like it does & isn't super clear/user friendly to get it setup. -Power/volume button placement feels a bit off to me. I've annoyingly been accidentally taking screenshots when trying to turn off screen very frequently. Hopefully something I get used to, but personally feels like a slight design flaw. -Accessory availability is bad. Spigen seems to be only well known case maker & took several months to have in-stock. Wonder if this is failure by Nothing to get specs out to 3rd parties? Would be nice if they could get other major brands to make products available. At least it comes with an fine silicone case & thin plastic screen protector already applied. Overall, I've been pleased with the NP3. There are some quirks & compromises, but they've also already made efforts to improve the user experience via software updates. If you're looking for a higher end phone outside of the 3 major brands in the US, and none of the compromises listed above are deal breakers for you, I would say that the Nothing Phone 3 is a perfectly viable and competitive option. It was an ok phone, until it broke in 1 month. I got this as a replacement for a Google Pixel 6 after I had that phone for 4 years. Upon receiving the phone I noticed it was a nice build and Nothing OS was sorta cool. But that's all the good I have to say about it. The Novelty of the OS soon wore off, no big deal. I was with a phone that was medium in quality. This phone does not feel like a flagship phone. Actually I would say it underperformed the Google Pixel 6 I had by a great margin. Loading times were sloppier and there was a lot less functionality in the phone itself when doing simple tasks. I expected less functionality than Google of course since nothing is a small company but the fact that their phone from 2025 could not outperform a pixel 6 from 2021 chagrined me a great deal. Nevertheless I expected it to run better in subsequent OS updates. Until. . . Suddenly it just stopped working. I never let this phone charge overnight, nor did I abuse this phone battery in any way. The phone itself simply never turned on again after a month of use. I woke up one morning after using the nothing phone 3. Just 5 hours before I was using it and now it wasn't charging or anything you could imagine my frustration. This wasn't the only time either, the phone briefly didn't turn on or charge a week prior to this but it worked eventually after a few minutes. This time was different. Not to mention this phone would die from 20% overnight to 0%. My Google Pixel 6 could still hold a charge at night going from 20% to 19%. So here is what I had to say if you want a long lasting phone that performs well, I would not recommend this phone unless you want to gamble that you don't also receive a defect. I should have my refund in a few days and I will update this review to let you know how that process went. Thank you.
