The Nothing Ears will probably stand on business. I have Metro, so it's compatibility is great. Speed of everything, super great. Storage is nice and so far, no scratches. It comes with it's on case.     • It's Just a Really Solid Phone Experience!

I had been looking for a new phone on and off for a few years, and really started looking in the past few months since my existing phone was old. So old, that current apps would randomly crash. Not fancy games; no, Google messages, email, YouTube. I had an LG G8X Thinq Dual Screen(I really miss the separate/dual screens) :( It had the same specs as a Galaxy S10. Both the G8X and the S10 came out at the same time in 2019. Why Not Samsung?! Samsung, is outrageously over priced, and is full of bloat apps, and duplicate apps. Some, like KNOX you maybe shouldn't remove. There has been absolutely no outward innovation from Samsung in over 10 generations. All the phones look the same and all run over $1000. The phone also runs several AI agents, that I am not a fan of. The folding screens are a travesty across the board. 2 or 3 separate screens is the way to go. Why not Apple? Apple's history of 'playing games'(the battery limiting fiasco, fighting with app makers, internal planned obsolescence, $%&ty phone repair support without paying a kidney, for AppleCare, which the company continually tries to say 'does not cover X, Y, Z'. If you didn't have problems, great! I've worked in an Apple care approved repair company, and the number of times we had to turn down customers because AppleCare didn't cover the perfectly reasonable repair, was bonkers! Then we get to the sky high price for the phone, and the all intrusive Siri AI. "Hard No" Why Nothing? It's different, and leans toward use, instead of flash! Besides the Glyph features, the phone is really meant to 'get things done' In the settings, you have the options to use the normal flashy app icons, or 'grey scale' icons. You can also opt to show or hide the app names. Less clutter, so you can focus on 'that thing you are trying to do'. Yes the Nothing Phone 3 does have AI, as EVERY$$%%@#$THING does these days. Sadly, you can not fully disable or remap the 'AI' button. However, with a few minutes of tinkering in the settings, you can mostly disable the 'Nothing AI' features. Now the phone works as I really like it, plane and 'bare bones'. Great Job Nothing! The "Glyph" features are cool, make no mistake. It's nice to have...it's kind of a 'mullet phone'(LOL Sorry). Business up front, and party in the back. LOL Spin the bottle, dice, and the sun clock are neat and great for the odd party. The dice glyph has already settled several decisions with my friends and I, with a quick 'odds or evens' decision. LOL. The phone does have wireless charging. The coil is hidden under the decorative back façade. It's a little wonky and difficult to position on some wireless chargers(especially some portable battery banks with wireless charging), because the coil is shaped to make room for the 'glyph' button. But, it does work. Verdict, I'm a big fan of the phone and will likely stay with Nothing if they continue on this track. The camera is much better than the G8X, but I don't really care about a camera. I take more photos of serial numbers(I work it tech) than Instagram photos. If I can read the serial number, that's all I need. I'm not a fan of AI and I'm not really a mobile gamer. - No/minimal AI? Check! - Camera that works? Check! - 12/16GB of RAM for multi-tasking? Check! - Wireless Charging? Check! - Clean UI? Check - The speakers are a big improvement over the G8X, still very much 'phone speakers', but a nice boost, to movies/videos chilling at home. * I don't really have anything to say about the CPU(Snapdragon 8s Gen4) Not the Elite. I really haven't seen a problem not having the flagship proc. As the Nothing CEO said, they focused on a really good phone experience, and that's what they've done. No issue! The only things, I would change are personal nit pick gripes. - Option to disable/remove AI across the board - Reduce text/UI spacing. I like a really compact interface. Honestly, this phone is really cool and great. To start off, this phone basically synched up everything from my previous phone via Google, setup was surprisingly simple. It's design is unique, and practical too. It's performance is nothing to be bummed about, despite not having the latest chip it still runs like a dream. It's OS is also very customizable, and the Glyph Matrix is a REALLY fun mechanic that can also be customized This phone, although it can be too gimmicky for some, is really fun and unique at what it does. Almost everything about this phone is amazing. There's honestly only two cons I have with this phone the first one being the price. If u can get it at a discount the dollar to value ratio is much better. I got mine at a decent discount so I'm happy with my purchase but if I was to buy this phone at retail price I think there are phones with better specs for what you pay. However this phone is more than just the specs (although they are pretty good) on paper. I came from a pixel 9 pro xl where specs aren't everything and it was my favorite phone I've ever used up until this point. (I'm a pixel guy so there's bias) I switch phones yearly though and any phone brand sold here in the US I've probably used at some point. Now after using the Nothing phone (3) this might just be my favorite ever. The software is just so clean. It takes great pictures especially with the recent software updates. It really feels unique and fun and is a nice change from my pixel or iphone without being too unfamiliar. The only other con I have is that it's extremely difficult to find good/high quality accessories like phone cases and screen protectors. But if u can get this phone at a good price and find a good case this phone is great and better than many YouTube reviews might suggest. ... show more

I really want to give this phone 5 stars. It's so close to perfect for me. I know the specs aren't the very best, but I love just about everything about it. There's only 1 reason I can't give it 5 stars so far. Maybe that will be fixed with software updates. I'll update my review if so. Ok, so, first of all, the main selling point with this phone is Nothing OS. I'm coming from Pixel, which up until now was my favorite Phone OS. The simplicity yet customizability of Nothing OS is really nice, but overall it still feels a lot like a Pixel. The Nothing Widgets are really nice and overall thoughtful and make the experience just a little bit nicer than Pixel in day to day use for me. I am also someone who really enjoys music, and I appreciate that this is something Nothing focuses on. It supports aptX and Spatial Audio, sounding really nice with my both my earbuds and my bluetooth Edifier speakers. From the hand feel, I know this is subjective, but the standard 6.3" Pixels are a little too small for my hands. The 6.8 Pro XLs feel too tall. The Nothing Phone 3 is the perfect size for me. It's almost as wide as the Pro XL, but not as tall, making it still pretty easy to hold in one hand. I also really like the haptics. It's got very satisfying feedback on everything. The rest of the hardware is fine. I liked the old Nothing designs better with the Glyph lights, and wish they hadn't spend money and R&D on the Glyph Matrix, but functionally I probably never would use either, other than as a fill light/flash light, which is the only thing I've found useful for the Glyph Matrix so far. That being said, the build quality overall is really solid. Battery life is good so far. I've been charging it to 80% overnight and using about 4-5 hours of screen time a day and still having about 20% battery left at the end of the day. I imagine if I really pushed it I would probably want to have charged it to 100%, but for my use, this is working great. The cameras are all good hardware, though the end result isn't always as good as on Pixels. I appreciate Nothing's dedication to software updates here. Since getting the phone I've gotten 2 updates, and each one made improvements to the cameras. I have taken some really nice photos overall, though I do need to fiddle with the settings just a bit more sometimes to get the shot I want now. This is honestly OK by me as one gripe I had with my old Pixel was even after I would manually adjust the white balance to get the colors right, my Pixel would post process the image, throwing the colors off of what I had carefully chosen. I also really love the Nothing Presets, which are settings that you can select (or create for yourself) to automatically apply while taking photos. Once again they're very thoughtful in their approach and make the photography experience much more fun. Now to the part where I have to knock off a star. When I first got the phone, the very first call I made I heard some weird static and glitching. I switched to bluetooth earbuds and it went away. I tested it again with another call and the same thing happened. Then I also noticed that there was a bit of a hissing sound from the top speaker/ear piece while playing music. I sent the phone back and ordered a replacement. By the time the replacement arrived I saw a new software update had appeared that addressed "noise on some phone calls". That update fixed the call issues overall, but the earpiece/top speaker still has that hissing sound with music a bit. I've played the same music on my Nothing Phone 3 and my Pixel 7 side by side, and the Pixel 7 has a warmer, richer sound. Now, I understand they're both phone speakers. They aren't going to sound amazing. But, like I stated earlier, music is important to me, and Nothing, who also makes earbuds and headphones and has a focus on audio should be better here. Part of my choice in Nothing was that focus. I don't use the phone speakers often, but it's disappointing that when I do, it's tinnier and just not as good as a 3 year old phone. There's a chance that a software update can fix this, like it fixed the call quality issue, so I'm holding out hope there. But honestly, like I said, it's a small issue for something I rarely use, so I honestly wouldn't even knock off a full star for it if I could. Other thoughts: I like what Nothing is trying to do to be unique as a company. The design itself is a bit polarizing, but it looks better in person, and, you can cover it up for the most part with a case if you really don't like it. I do like it. It took a little time to grow on me, but I appreciate the unique look. I know it's hard to break into the market here in the US with how carriers give discounts for signing with them, but I really hope Nothing can pull it off, because they've done some really nice things with this phone. Since it's just breaking into the market, there's not a lot of cases for it available. I appreciate that they included a basic case in the box along with a pre-applied screen protector. I was able to find a case I like with a magnetic ring that works with magsafe accessories, but, I really like matte screen protectors, and to get one of those I had to order one elsewhere and pay for international shipping. ... show more

Amazing phone. It's barely been a few days but so far it feels like this is what I've been wanting in a phone for so long. It feels like the phone works for me and not I for the phone. All the smart features feel well thought out and not shoved down your throat like other ecosystems. It was an ok phone, until it broke in 1 month. I got this as a replacement for a Google Pixel 6 after I had that phone for 4 years. Upon receiving the phone I noticed it was a nice build and Nothing OS was sorta cool. But that's all the good I have to say about it. The Novelty of the OS soon wore off, no big deal. I was with a phone that was medium in quality. This phone does not feel like a flagship phone. Actually I would say it underperformed the Google Pixel 6 I had by a great margin. Loading times were sloppier and there was a lot less functionality in the phone itself when doing simple tasks. I expected less functionality than Google of course since nothing is a small company but the fact that their phone from 2025 could not outperform a pixel 6 from 2021 chagrined me a great deal. Nevertheless I expected it to run better in subsequent OS updates. Until. . . Suddenly it just stopped working. I never let this phone charge overnight, nor did I abuse this phone battery in any way. The phone itself simply never turned on again after a month of use. I woke up one morning after using the nothing phone 3. Just 5 hours before I was using it and now it wasn't charging or anything you could imagine my frustration. This wasn't the only time either, the phone briefly didn't turn on or charge a week prior to this but it worked eventually after a few minutes. This time was different. Not to mention this phone would die from 20% overnight to 0%. My Google Pixel 6 could still hold a charge at night going from 20% to 19%. So here is what I had to say if you want a long lasting phone that performs well, I would not recommend this phone unless you want to gamble that you don't also receive a defect.     • Good hardware ruined by bad software

To start off I originally had put the phone on a plan from Mint Mobile. However within a week I switched to AT&T. On Mint, calls and texts worked but data would not. After a horrible CS experience with them I switched to AT&T. And everything worked great from then on carrier choice wise. Mint said the phone was compatible with the network but after 5 phone calls they then said it wasn't anymore. I also tried Metro but the phone is completely incompatible with them. So now about the phone. I actually really liked it and the following are some of my positive points. If your familiar with Android then it's like any other phone for the most part. Calls were of good quality. It was overall pretty snappy and quite fast. Browsing social media, scrolling through apps or the Internet felt very pleasant. The camera was really good too. It had really good low light capabilities and would snap really clean images. The phone was considerably lighter than my previous (now current again) ROG phone 3. The Glyph thing was a pretty cool feature. I personally like the clock and the sun tracker as I'm also into solar off grid systems. Didn't really play with it much beyond being picking a few neat toys to glance at every once in awhile from the available list. The battery life I felt was adequate. It'd generally last me about 2 days. For context. I spend probably a good 30% of my day on my phone browsing, shopping, researching and, scrolling. Now on to my complaints. Because I'm a big audio nut. Android Auto was my first and largest complaint. My vehicles have aftermarket stereos in them and I like being able to use my phone while driving totally hands free when the need arises. It is by far and large what my phones get used for primarily. AA would work fine for a day and then refuse to work at all. It would say things like "device not supported" or "failed to connect". Support would blame it on the cable but the cable works fine with my old phone. Even after rummaging through the Dev, app, and phone settings nothing changed. However if you reinstall the app or clear the app information it would work for about a day. Then just start throwing a fit again. I think this was more of a Android 17 issue than the phone though. So AA refused to work. So I tried Bluetoothing my audio and good God. That wasn't happening either. It cut out, dropped signal, lagged, and would constantly distort anything played through it like crazy. That was basically the final straw and where I gave up and returned the phone. Music is a big part of what I use a phone for and if that doesn't work right then I've got a problem with it. Looking back at it. I actually loved the phone but the AA and Bluetooth problems just quickly turned me away. I might try a newer interation of it in the future but perhaps with a bit more caution and testing before I commit to "moving into it". ... show more
