Overall a good pair of running shoes. You can't have too many of these. Especially since the shoes are good value for the price and works as expected. Most running shoes run over $100 these days. I noticed that the toe tends to bend upwards a little more than my average running shoes which made me feel the shoes were too small for me at first. Not sure how to feel about that yet, I need to break in the shoes more and afterwards if I find issues I'll report back. I ordered these for use outdoors but found them to be a bit snug. I ordered a 10.5 (my actual size) but found them to be a bit snug width-wise when I tried them on. Thankfully, my son has the same size foot but it's much narrower and he finds these to be perfect for his needs...though not quite flashy enough :) There's plenty of cushion in these and the soles are extra thick. As others have noted, the lace strap is long and you'll most likely need to tuck this under the lacing to keep it from flopping around. ... show more

These are great shoes - except they run small. I have always worn size 9 and these are very snug. A 9-1/2 probably would be perfect. Sturdy, comfortable, and sure grip from the soles. Hopefully they will stretch a bit. Nice shoes - but order at least 1/2 size up.

I really like these shoes. Between the thick sole and thick insole, they have a great amount of cushion. However because I have wide feet and they aren't wide shoes, I have some difficulty getting them on. Once on, they feel comfortable except I keep having a problem with these type of shoes with the turned up front. I am a 9.5. 9.5 loafers fit perfectly, but with these type shoes from many manufacturers, my big toe hits the front and is uncomfortable. Particularly with thicker socks. I don't know if I will be able to wear these, but I would like to. They are very nice otherwise. ... show more

Solid value for a budget running shoe... A few things worth noting, as I'm going to review these shoes for what they are, not what they aren't. Still, it's worth mentioning what they aren't, to avoid confusion: * These could be used on a trail, but not really trails I use. They could be used as running shoes, but maybe more for the casual runner. * They aren't ultralight, but each shoe weighs 12.65oz, or 358g in size 10.5, which isn't horrendous. * They aren't spot-on with their US sizing. So... I still give them 5 stars, as they're actually pretty nice quality, pretty comfortable (even though they're a bit snug), they give better arch support than expected, and good luck finding a decent shoe for $40. I do think it's safe to say you can order a half size larger and you'll find them quite comfortable. I can actually wear them, as this type of construction tends to give a bit over time, but I do think it comes at a cost to longevity. As for ultralight, the average person wouldn't be able to discern the difference of a few ounces and it wouldn't impact their outing. I'm reviewing these shoes for folks that aren't avid runners or that aren't doing the Pacific Crest or Appalachian Trails. Decent quality 'full featured' trail shoes will set you back $250+. Customers for that market won't be accidentally confusing these shoes for what they're seeking. These shoes are perfect for folks that are interested in enjoying the outdoors without breaking the bank. They're great for kids that'll be going through any type of footwear in a matter of months.They are pretty stylish, so you'll look good in them walking the trails, and they'd be nice for strolling around town, as well. I plan on using them for the next few months, so if they end up falling apart sooner than I'd expect, I'll come back and update the review. ... show more

Overall pretty comfortable right out of the box and they just got better with some breaking in. Went out on an hour long hike with them immediately and really enjoyed wearing them. I didn't love how long the lace strap got and had to tuck it around a few times to keep it from slapping all around.

First of all, here are the pros: The shoes look cool. They are sleek. Black on black looks tight, and the overall look is like if a black Camaro were a shoe. Huge win there. Second, these shoes have great support. They fit tight around the heels, with plenty of cushioning. There is a nice "spring" rebound with each step. I can see these being good for short-term running (a couple of miles) and daily wear for work and chores. The bottom of the shoes have good tread, and grip well on the street. It's very important, because some shoes are slippery, and this can obviously be dangerous and inconvenient. The cons - There aren't many, and this may just depend on taste or design of your foot. I have very wide feet with long toes, and they are a little snug there. I do see this becoming less of an issue as the shoes break in. In fact, it may not bug me at all in a couple weeks. I still recommend ordering a size up. On the bright side, the nose of these shoes are firm, so if you're trying to avoid injury, you may appreciate this feature. Overall, these are a good show, appropriately priced at 50 bucks. Time will tell how well they hold up, so I can't factor in durability at this time.
