  • Better than expected.
Size: 12 Color: Black/Dark/Grey
Always worried about buying clothing, especially shoes online without being able to try them on; especially a newer brand I wasn't familiar with. These did not disappoint, instead I am now a loyal customer and plan on buying another pair this fall. I live in a wet area in Oregon where it rains 200+ days out of the year, and waterproof and comfort are most important. I don't just use these for trails, but use them as daily shoes in town and on trails. I have had these for 7 months now and they are still in good condition but starting to wear. However, as most waterproof shoes, they lose water resistance with wear. I walk 5 miles a day, so I put these to the test. Extremely comfortable. Everyone has different feet and comfort, was pleasantly surprised with these right out of the box. I always add more support, after a few weeks to preserve the original inside soles. The right size (12) as advertised; fit perfect. Good laces and support in the ankle area; strong material. They also look good which is also important. I have tested them through rain, snow, ice, in town, and trails and would highly recommend them. I read reviews thoroughly when buying things online, especially apparel and these had high reviews. Great shoes and plan on buying another pair this fall before the heavy rains get here again. ... show more

  • I ordered wide, it came wide. 4E wide. Perfect.
Size: 9 Wide Color: Taupe-suede
Flexible. Comfortable. Lighter weight and I ordered a size 9W and it came that way. Says water proof and water resistant. We don't know yet, I have only worn them around the garage. That's why I gave it 4 stars for now. I start back next week at my job on a golf course. We shall find out about the water stuff. Otherwise for the price, they are darn good. Again, one of the big things is that they seem as flexible in the toe area as a pair of tennis shoes, which is good. Everyone hates breaking in boots. So if you don't plan on working a construction site but still need some yard boots, these are them. UPDATE: TWO WEEKS working the golf course here in rainy Michigan. Not waterproof but pretty darn close. Two thumbs up. My socks seem sweaty, not wet so much. I have been walking gingerly thru frost and wet grass. For what I paid...I would buy again. Nice Job. Great job for the price. ... show more

Awesome boots! I have these over a year and wear them around the property every day. I purchased a second pair for when I wear out my first. Do yourself a favor and get a pair. Great value for the price!

  • The Fit Was Critical
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Army/Green/Black/Orange
Since I need a wider toe-box and have worn Keens forever (love them except for the price and the fact I wear them out inside of 6 months), size becomes the deciding factor as most hikers have a "normal" width, often a 'B'. Been though a pile of test "trys" with a bunch of boots to replace Keens, so ordered the Armadillo Model (fabric) in a 10.5W (I wear a 10.5 D-width). They fit great...even without a super-wide toe-box...but are slightly "loose" in the uppers with my foot but a thicker sock takes care of any slight sloppiness. Good sole, good construction, look great, and are comfortable out of the box...especially for the price. Even if they only lasted 6 months of heavy use they are easily $100+ ahead of other models, even the Lowa's I have that aren't as comfortable at $200 on a special buy (which is a well-built boot...but). If you want a good boot for hiking or everyday use, these are the ticket. ... show more

  • Perfect fit
Size: 10 Wide Color: Brown/Black/Tan
These boots are a great value. Price seemed almost too good but the quality so far is very good. Surprised that the fit was perfect to my usual size. Not tight, not loose, roomy toe box, heel doesn't slip, cushion insole and extra pair of laces in the box. Time will tell how long they last but at $50 I'm pleased so far. ... show more

  • Great boot!
Size: 9 Color: Brown/Black/Tan
One of the best hikers I’ve bought. Very comfortable from the first time putting them on. Fit is true to size, feel very sturdy but nice and cushioned inside. Would definitely recommend to others.

  • a good deal
Size: 12 Color: All Black
I've been having to find replacements for New Balance's MW1400v1 walking shoe that I really liked. New Balance keeps endlessly tweaking that shoe and its replacements, very frustrating. So, I found this on Amazon, and it's less than half the price, so I decide to give it a try. So far it's great, comfortable, and pretty much what I want, a true High Top, good lacing set up. I would prefer if the sole was a bit more bendy, either more flexible, or with a bit of a hinge/flexible area in the arch. But it's not totally rigid, so I'm fine with it. I haven't really tested it in the serious wet, so not commenting on that. Haven't see how well it holds up over time, so it gets 4 stars for now, if it last a year, I'll update to 5 stars. ... show more

  • Best hiking boots I’ve owned
Size: 11 Color: All Black
I needed new hiking boots after a river current ripped off the sole of my old one. I ordered these and i could tell as soon as i slipped my foot in that these boots were both solid and comfy. I’ve had shoes that have very little padding and i usually have to add an insert to add more cushion. Its firm around the ankle which gives you more support and resists against ankle roll. Theyre water proof unless the water gets into the top of the boot which happened just because i was hiking up Mount Baldy in the snow and didnt tuck my pants into my shoe. But thats more my fault and not a design flaw. Highly recommend these boots. ... show more
