First, I am somewhat of a gear snob and usually spend between $150 and $250 for boots of this type for this purpose; and I am not a youngster, so I have been through many miles and pairs of boots over the years; and a high percentage of them in the wilds of Alaska. These aren't Scarpa, Danner, La Sportiva, Lowa, or Salomon quality; but they aren't priced anywhere near those brands either; and so far, I don't think you can beat the "bang-for-the-buck". All that said, this is an INITIAL review as I just recently received these and can't speak to their durability. What I can speak to is the following. They are a visually attractive boot that are lightweight and appear to be fairly well made. I took them right out of the box and was so impressed with their flexibility that I took them on about an eleven mile trek combining both on and off trail, just north of the Arctic Circle without breaking them in. Not smart, I know, but I am somewhat of a gambler and won this one as I had no problems and was comfortable. I followed that up the next day with a similar almost fourteen mile trek with similar results. The third day, I backed it off to about an eight mile jaunt on a little more challenging terrain, predominately off trail, and aside from a couple of hot-spots on the top of my middle toes (probably due to lighter weight socks), I had no problems at all. My feet stayed dry and for the most part comfortable; and the boots provided good support and traction. I will have to wait and see how they hold up (and I suspect that they probably won't match the durability of the aforementioned brands), but given the SIGNIFICANT difference in price, and the similarity in performance, I would highly recommend these boots to anyone; and ESPECIALLY to anyone that isn't already familiar with the fit and characteristics of some of the higher priced boots, because they don't all fit the same and they have different characteristics, and by the time you find out exactly what those factors are and how well they fit your needs, it is usually too late to return them. I will report back on durability if and when I get a chance.

After a lifetime of wearing boots and hitting, I’ve discovered that I could have been wearing the best of both worlds with these sneakers. I’m very active and living on property up in the Northern Black Hills. I hike, ride an older ATV and am building out my land. Boots had just been what I’ve worn everyday since my days in Service and even worked out wearing boots. I’ve never before these, found a pair that didn’t feel like slippers. Flimsy and mostly ornate. Not my look. I’m heavily dependent upon Amazon for most everything living out here so I tried their wardrobe program. First 2 styles I ordered I couldn’t justify wearing outside unless I wanted to wear’ slippers’ . Amazon suggestion pops up and shows me these shoes and the size that they said I should try. I am just thoroughly impressed with Amazon, I really am because not only have they found me the Perfect fit and feel, the price ( yes, even these days) was Affordable. These look like me. As if I had them custom manufactured and presented as a gift. So I’m closing ( hopefully I spell name brand correctly) Thank You norti V8 and especially Amazon

I have had the boots for about a week. My use and purpose of purchasing the boots was primarily for use during a boys wee of Fishing In Minnesota. I find the boots comfortable to wear all day while on the boat and while at the camp site. They are a slightly bulky boot but I do not find them overly heavy or tiring to wear. For me the size of the boot seems to run a tad small. I am a 10.5 which I purchased first then exchanged for 11. This gives me the room for a comfortable fit even with slightly thicker socks. I also did treat them with two coats of silicone spray for added protection. I would recommend these boots. I am very pleased. Great value.

Used for residential irrigation. Owned for one year. Used for only 7 of those months, medium use. Hardly water resistant, even with water resistant pants these filled with water quickly. One of the tabs broke off for lacing as well. Today the glue holding the upper and sole together just came apart like the glue was never even there (reference pics) I would not buy these boots again for irrigation or like activities. Yes I know, advertised as hiking boots. I'm sure they would be great boots for hiking. Minus one star for lack of durability.

I was pleasantly surprised by these hiking boots. They fit true to size (14 wide), and are both supportive for the ankles and comfortable. Light in weight, have no hot spots, and have a roomy toe box. Last time I had a hiking boot as comfortable was when I was in my early 30s in the early 90s with a boot that cost 3 1/2 times as much. Though I don't hike as much due to age and joint issues, having the ankle support provides me with confidence when out and about knowing I'll be less likely to roll an ankle. Will order another pair considering the price, they're well worth it!

Used these for three days of hiking. Wasn’t sure how they would be for the price but I was presently surprised. Fit is great and the shoes are pretty comfortable right out of the box. My biggest complaint is the sole is either a little soft or thin so you’ll feel bigger/sharper objects when you step on them. Nothing pierced through but I could tell when I was on a pointy rock. No issues so far and I’ll continue to wear them. I did pick these up during the prime day sale so they were a great deal! Highly recommend these if you’re looking for a hiking boot at a great price.

This is right out of the box a few minutes ago. Slipped them on, fit like a glove. I don't like when shoes squish your toes up in the front and there seems to be a nice Wiggle Room in the front.
