I bought these for work, I wear them 50 hours a week for work outside at a tree farm. They are extremely soft and comfortable. I have flat feet and other issues so I immediately feel when a shoe isn't well made or doesn't fit properly. I bought them 1 size up as my feet swell but they are wide but I can tighten them enough. I recieved the shoe very fast! It is difficult to buy a hiking shoe without trying on and must rely on website description. This hiking shoe is well constructed for a low cut hiking shoe. It has a snug heel fit that keeps your foot in place. The low cut has padding that is very comfortable. The sole appears to have good grip for hiking on all terrain. This is a good intermediate hiking shoe for a great price. Unfortunately the 7.5 that I typically order in hiking shoe was too snug and my normal size foot had issues with it being too snug & rubbed. This is my second pair of north side hiking shoes/boots and I thought that I needed to size up because my pinky toe kept rubbing with my original pair. But now trying on a half size bigger on a totally different style I’ve realized the toe box is VERY oval and narrow and that’s why it’s rubbing, not because of the shoe size. I’ve never ever had issues with toe boxes on shoes as I have slender feet, but even with narrow feet this toe box is too narrow for my toes. So beware. It’s only been about a month and a half since I received these shoes . I’m normally not one to leave a bad review and I’m not knocking the seller here! This is just a overall poorly made product Yes I am using them for everyday heavy duty work and walking but normally even with a cheap cheap pair of hiking sneakers I can pull 4months out of them before the busy apart like this . I do have supination but wear the insoles for that and I didn’t even get a month out these before they blew apart fell apart whatever . I did request a replacement but as these are so destroyed I could not return them as they wouldn’t be accepted the seller did recommend that I go threw the manufacturer warranty but that’s just to much if a hassle and I’ve already purchased a new different brand hiking sneaker . I’m not sure if u can see it in my pics as these shoes are very disgusting but on the left one it has fallen apart so much in the first month I had to zip tie it together as I was walking on my bare foot while wearing these shoes ! And yes I continue to wear them as they are my ONLY shoes at the moment . I highly highly don’t recommend these at all for everyday heavy duty use and if u have any foot issues that cause u to walk off it’ll only make it worse . I am a tried and true size and never have issues ordering shoes online. These were super tight in the toes and would have definitely been uncomfortable to wear for even a short walk. In fact, I bought a 2nd pair and am considering a 3rd pair. i wear them a lot for walking and hiking, and they have held up really well. I had these for less than a year and only used them a few times for hiking but it didn't take long for the rubber soles to crack apart and have holes at the bottom.
