After about three weeks of wearing these boots they have worked out well. I decided to delay my review so they could be worn for my job. I do a lot of driving but a good deal of loading and unloading during the day. The padding in the soles are good, the laces have not broken and they give me decent support. The downsides are, the size 8 men's is a bit snug and I can see where the center lace loops are very weak. They are also hot to wear, it's like my feet do not "breathe" in them. The boots are great, very comfortable and well made. As we any boots I buy, I suggest spraying with some waterproofing silicone or similar type of spray, and do that before you wear them outside. Also, as recommended, they tend to run a 1/2 measure under what you will actually need. (I wear 11.5 and bought a pair size 12, fitting perfect.) ... show more

I have 6 herniated discs, bone spurs in my hips, and plantar fasciitis. Was looking for something lightweight because regular work shoes were just too heavy and I'm not a tennis shoe guy when working outside. Was pleasantly surprised how lightweight these are.     • Fit Half to Full size smaller than advertised

Warning! These boots fit at least a 1/2 size to a Full size smaller than the size advertised. I had been trying on several hiking boot styles (8-10 different hiking boots) at a few local shoes stores but didn’t find what I wanted. Of all those different boots…size 10-1/2 fit me with all the different styles and manufacturers I tried on. I cannot comment on the quality or performance of these boots as they did not fit. They said size 10-1/2, but fit like they were a size 10 or smaller. I did find and buy a size 10-1/2 similar style hiking boot locally that fit me. I placed one of each boot…heel to heel…and these Northside boots were 3/4” shorter in length at the front toe than the size 10-1/2 that fit me. Based on my foot size I would have needed to order a size 11 or 11-1/2 to get the right fit for these hiking boots to work for me. Note: if you are going to order a pair of these hiking boots….add at least a 1/2 size to the size you usually take. ... show more

    • You Get What You Pay for

I had no illusions about what kind of boots these would be when I ordered them. Cheap boots are going to be made cheaply. But thats why I ordered them and they met my expectations. If you need an inexpensive, multipurpose boot for LIGHT use then these will do fine. They are NOT for serious hiking and I would not even consider using them for anything more than a 2-3 mile jount in the woods. They are stiff out of the box and may become more pliable with use, but I wouldn't take a chance with them. Sizing seems to run smaller than indicated. I wear a size 12 so ordered size 13 to allow for heavy socks. Unless they stretch out more, heavy socks will not work. They seem to be one full size smaller than marked. In putting them on for the first time one sewn eyelet ripped out. I punched a hole in the upper to thread the lace through. You get what you pay for. As I said, I had no expections for a great boot. For actual hiking I wear a more expensive boot with a proven track record. I wanted another boot that I could use for occasional wear when I didn't want to wear my good boots. For that purpose they are exactly what I was looking for. If you don't expect much from these boots, you won't be dissapointed. ... show more

No recomiendo este tipo de zapatos porque no duran el pegamento no sirve se despega y es dinero tirado a la basura y luego Amazon te dan sólo 30 días de garantía y cada vez menos confianza tengo en comprar en Amazon tenga cuidado con estos zapatos no valen la pena comprar Según solo lo utilize lo de 15 días fue ocasionalmente porque siempre utilizo botas de trabajo la suela ya la reviso una persona que se dedica a reparar zapatos y me comenta que esa suela es realmente basura porque no tiene nada solo es una pedazo de suela y lo grueso dice que es lo dé dos hojas de papel ... show more
