• STORAGE: Boomr Bags should be stored at room temperature out of direct sunlight. No refrigeration is necessary. They can also be stored for several months before use.
• BEST PRACTICES: We recommend clean hands, latex or nitrile gloves, and sterile technique when using Boomr Bag to reduce the introduction of contaminants. It is also best practice to wait a minimum of 1 week after arrival before using sterile substrates to ensure they were not compromised during transit.

Each bag is optimally hydrated for substrate mix and volume to ensure a healthy, well-hydrated environment for optimal mycelial growth. Bags are sterilized in a commercial-grade autoclave. Sterility is verified using biological indicators and temperature sensors. How soon can I expect my bag to start pinning? Depending on the mushroom species and strain, it will take about 25-30 days before pins form. Can Shroomtek be used by beginners? Yes, ShroomTek is easy to use and requires minimal maintenance. However, it is important to read through all of the instructions before you begin to gain a better understanding of the entire process from inoculation to fruiting. How should I store my bag while it's colonizing? Allow your bag to colonize undisturbed and out of direct sunlight. Temperature for incubation shouldn't exceed 75 degrees F or dip below 55 degrees F. Keeping your bag at the higher end of the temperature range will encourage faster colonization. How can I speed up colonization? When the mycelium has grown 3-4 inches outward from the point of injection, carefully massage the bag to break up the colonized substrate and mix it into the uncolonized substrate. IMPORTANT: Do this without opening the bag. Do I need any special equipment or supplies to use Shroomtek? When you inoculate your bag, you will need a spore syringe or liquid culture, a pair of latex or nitrile gloves, a spray bottle with 70% isopropyl alcohol, and paper towels. Later in the process, you will also need scissors and an XL rubber band.
