My eye doctor recommended this brand of fish oil specifically. These are easy to swallow, slightly lemon flavored capsules. The vitamin content is such that he recommended a single capsule per day. My doc says one of the reasons he recommends this brand is that the capsule wall is actually thinner than the average fish oil capsules out there. Since the wall of the capsule is thinner, it dissolves more easily, and that allows better absorption, and that increases the effectiveness. So you get the full nutritional value of the fish oil each day. Don’t let the slight lemon flavor throw you. It isn’t like fish with lemon. There’s very little taste at all.

I purchased the Nordic Naturals soft gels as a recommendation from my eye doctor. They gave me a one-month sample supply and they are easy to swallow and help promote support of my eye health. I cannot say that I taste the lemon flavor since the gels are swallowed; however, they are easy to take and have had no issues. I would recommend this product.

YES it's not cheap! So what justifies the high cost? Well for starters, this is NOT your average fish oil supplement. This product contains EPA and DHA as well as high quality fish oil. This combination is HIGHLY effective for strengthening memory as well as improved cardio vascular health. I noticed just how much it helped improve my memory when I ran out of it. Most recently, I struggle to remember the simplest things. I'm talking about things like names of people, titles of books, and probably a bunch of other things I can't remember right now:-) After taking this product consistently for a few months, this almost never happened! This stuff is a godsend in that way and I don't think I've ever experienced such a profound improvement in memory from ANY supplement...and I've tried a bunch. If you want to save a few bucks, don't buy this product. However, if you want one of the best fish oil supplements on the market (that also turns your brain into a super computer), buy this product!

I've purchased these supplements on amazon before and they were fine. This time, they arrived in a big clump in the bottle, smelling slightly off. I took them anyway (I really had to work to pull them apart) as I was too lazy to return them and did not die... however I will not be buying any supplements on amazon moving forward. Incidentally, my partner recently bought some ibuprofen on amazon that had the same issue, but smelled so badly that we had to dispose of them. Quality control is garbage!

My new PCP recommended that I add 2000 mg capsule twice per day of fish oil to my dietary needs and I stated that I had previously done that and I suffered with indigestion from the fish oil supplement. I had suffered with burping and awful tasting fish oil indigestion. So she recommended Nordic Naturals citrus flavored supplement, and since I started taking I have not suffered with indigestion or burping. I will be excited to see my next blood test results to see if this supplement has helped with my test results.
