• Flicks like sandpaper but won't rip your shoes. This Non-Abrasive rubber griptape measures 9" x 33". While sandpaper uses abrasion, DKL Griptape uses frictional forces such as molecular adhesion and the plow effect and is similar to the rubber found on ping pong paddles. DKL Griptape won't rip your shoes because it's made from rubber.
• Includes 1 Sheet of Rubber Griptape. This sheet measures 9.0" wide and 33" long, which is enough to cover most standard skateboard decks. For Longboard, Old School, and other grip applications, you may need more than 1 sheet to get the job done.
• Application Instructions: Rubber is soft. Use a sharp blade (NOT already dulled by sandpaper) to trim. When cutting, make sure to inset 1/4" from the edge of the board. This keeps your grip from hanging over the edge and potentially getting caught and lifted.*If you can, let adhesive set 1 hour or overnight.
• How To Inset Grip: You need to inset your Rubber Griptape 1/4" by giving it a 2nd trim at a sharp angle. Pay special attention to the nose & tail. Retrim as necessary. Follow this tip to keep your grip from hanging over the edge and potentially getting caught and lifted.
• One of the advantages of Rubber Griptape is how easy it is to clean. If it gets too dusty, simply wipe with a damp rag, wetwipe, bristle brush or grip gum for a fresh grip again. Dirt and debris can cause lasting damage as they get ground into your griptape, so it is important to keep it clean.
