  • cheap replacement that works with T-mobile sim
Cheap replacement for busted iPhone with t mobile sim. It's a dumb phone so very basic but works fine. Call quality is great. Long battery life

  • Easy to use Nokia phone!
I recently got a free line for my phone plan, but the stipulation was that there isn't a free/discount phone with it. Really I didn't need a smart phone, but a basic phone to simply make phone calls and that's it. The Nokia fit my needs perfectly. I have this on T-Mobile and it picks up 4G LTE no problem! It has two sim card slots if you choose to use two numbers on it, but I'm just using the one. I will say it's a pain in the butt if you try to take the SIM out. The other minor bummer is that it's a micro-USB port. In 2025 most things are using USB-C, but it does come with A charger and I have a bunch of Micro-USB at home. The big thing, phone calls, are crisp because it uses VoLTE. I placed calls easily, it answers calls, it can text. The photos obviously aren't going to be anything like my Pixel phone, but it's not meant to be a crazy high def camera. If you need a secondary phone like I do, or you want to see if your child can handle the responsibility of owning a phone, this is a great device. Obviously check with your carrier if the phone works or not (Verizon & AT&T don't from my research and their prepaid carriers). So if you're using T-Mobile, it works great! ... show more

  • It is what it is. Good enough.
Got a pair of these for summer vacation for my wife and I - we took them to the lake, beach, on hikes, for multi day adventures without plugging in, etc. The phone feels much more delicate than the 2002-2005 era devices it is an homage to. It’s also not as dumb as I’d like. Fortunately you can just not use the data and media features like I did, but they are definitely still present in case you’re trying to go cold turkey. Great value for money. Kids might struggle with it but anyone who had a candy bar phone way back when will do fine. ... show more

  • The parenting cheat code we needed.
I’m sitting here with a sense of relief so huge I had to write this down. If you're a parent, and especially if you're co-parenting a middle schooler, you know the dread of the "can I have a smartphone?" conversation. We've been putting it off for a year. This little Nokia is the perfect compromise. I bought it with a new T-Mobile SIM, and honestly, I blocked off my whole Saturday morning expecting a tech support nightmare. But it took, and I'm not exaggerating, less than five minutes. I popped the card in, turned the phone on, and it just worked. We made a test call, sent a text, and that was it. No accounts to create, no app store to disable, just... done. For us, this is the ultimate worry-free solution. Our pre-teen now has a way to get in touch with either of us, check in after school, or coordinate a pickup. What they don't have is unrestricted internet access, social media drama, or a thousand other distractions that a smartphone brings. It's a phone. It calls, it texts, and the battery seems to last forever. It's provided a simple, unified answer for us as co-parents, which is a victory in itself. This is the phone for parents who want their kids to be reachable, not constantly online. A total win. ... show more

  • Not suitable for US market
Nice phone. I tried it on a MVNO that uses TMObile, it doesn’t connect. I think it’ll be great outside the US

  • The cutest (full updates) The cutest (full updates)
I’ll update once I get service, but so far so cute! I’m going “no smartphone,” for a while and just using my smartphone as a laptop or tablet. This will be my main source of communication for a while. I plan to use the Tello $8/mo plan, ordered my SIM card so when it gets here I’ll make a full review. The specs are cute to me. Nice size, small, lightweight. You can reduce to bubble keys sounding volume to “indoors” or silent. In order to set things like that, you have to go to settings. No button rockers at all on the sides. If you’re on the main screen, you can change the overall volume by using the “end” key. The camera is just like back in the days, it’s not horrible, but it’s definitely not a camera for keeping memories. I took a picture of jellyfish on my iPhone and set it as the wallpaper, the picture I posted doesn’t do it Justice, it’s not that grainy or blurry in person—it’s really not that bad to me. The pic I took of the LED remote is basically the camera quality under good lighting. The packaging was small and neat. The keys are easy to press, it looked like one big keypad on the picture, but the keys are individual buttons (if that makes sense), so I imagine texting will be easier than I expected. That’s about all I can say right now, I literally just unboxed it, and powered it on. I’m excited though! I’ll brb for a full review once I get service. UPDATE: 10/10 for cuteness 1/10 for usefulness! I got the Tello plan with 2GB data and Ulmt talk/txt. As far as sending, it’s great, but receiving absolutely not. Even in the same home, I can call my family, they can hear me on the phone but I can’t hear them. If I go to another area the signal drops completely. I receive texts 20hrs later, but ppl can receive my texts just fine. Definitely not a phone for emergencies, at least in my area. I wanted to get away from the smartphone thing for a bit, but I think I’m just gonna go with deleting apps and touching grass. It would be a cute toy for a toddler though lol. ... show more
