Description

Having received more than 100 awards and recommendations from international hardware websites and magazines, the NF-F12 is one of Noctua’s most renowned and popular 120mm fans. Its outstanding static pressure performance and the FocusedFlow frame make it ideal for use on heatsinks and radiators. The chromax.black.swap edition combines the NF-F12’s signature quiet cooling performance with an attractive all-black design and a bundle of swappable red, white, blue, green, yellow and black anti-vibration pads that allow the colour-customisation of the fan to match individual build colour schemes. For further customisation, a wide range of accessories such as coloured cables, additional anti-vibration pads and anti-vibration mounts are available separately. Topped off with Noctua’s trusted premium-grade SSO2 bearing and more than 150,000 hours MTTF, the NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap is the perfect choice for all users who value individual, focused build aesthetics just as much as class-leading quality and performance. Award- winning NF-F12 design Having received more than 150 awards and recommendations from the international press, Noctua's NF-F12 has become a proven premium choice for 120mm cooling needs. Its renowned efficiency has convinced tens of thousands of customers all over the world. Read more Swappable anti-vibration pads in 6 colours The NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap comes with 4 black, white, red, blue, green and yellow NA-AVP1 anti-vibration pads respectively. By combining the various colours with black or leaving off the pads on one side, the fan can be coordinated with most popular build colour schemes out of the box. Additional NA-SAVP1 sets for outfitting both sides in one colour can be purchased separately. SSO2 bearing The chromax line fans feature the further optimised second generation of Noctua’s renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability. Varying Angular Distance and Vortex Control Notches The NF-F12's stator guide vanes are set out in Varying Angular Distance and feature Vortex-Control Notches. Both measures help to spread the noise emission over a broader frequency spectrum and thus make the fan's sound pattern more agreeable to the human ear. Focused Flow frame Designed for pressure demanding applications such as heatsinks and radiators, the Focused Flow frame features eleven stator guide vanes that straighten, channel and focus the airflow, which allows the NF-F12 to rival the performance of conventional fans running at much faster speeds. Read more Maximising colour choices, Noctua’s chromax.black.swap edition fans can be colour-customised using the included swappable anti-vibration pads as well as optional anti- vibration mounts and cables. This makes them ideal for enthusiasts looking for true premium-grade fans that can be colour-coordinated with popular build themes such as all black, black & white or black & red. • Great fans but not entirely pleased
These are great fans and almost worth the money: cool and quiet, quality that you would expect from Noctua. I didn't give 5 stars due to the anti-vibration pads alone, and I'm aware of how ridiculous that sounds at first. There should be 8 anti-vibration pads (instead of 4) per color, as the other Chromax fans I bought have 8. Pairing these with the others just doesn't match up. It isn't the end of the world and they still perform as I'd expect, but I paid extra replacing the stock brown Noctua fans with these and it still doesn't look the way I'd like, so I can't accomplish my aesthetic goal with Noctua fans. Furthermore, I now feel like I would've saved money in the end just getting a different brand altogether and not have to worry about spending more money and replacing fans. ... show more

  • Very Quiet, Preforming Great
It may be hard to see these fans as they are behind the radiator, but they are very quiet and seem to keep my CPU nice and cool. I ordered the Corsair H100i Pro in white as an AIO cooler, however I knew Noctua was a well known brand especially for Radiator fans. I decided to buy these to replace the LL120mm RGB Corsair fans for 2 reasons: 1. I think Noctua are better Static Pressure fans and thus my CPU will have the best cooling for pushing air through the radiator and keeping everything cool 2. The RGB would be beyond hidden if I wanted to see the beautiful RGB on the fans I wouldn't be able to I ended up putting the Corsair fans elsewhere so you can see their beauty and I have amazing fans on my Radiator ... show more

  • Quiet, Cool Upgrade for my Cryorig H7 CPU cooler tower
To summarize my points before going into details: Pros: + Aesthetically pleasing for my build, white matches the RGB lighting on motherboard and front fans and LED strip + much quieter tone compared to stock Cryorig H7 fan + Pretty simple to mount to cooler with H7 fan clip + variety of color options for rubber mounts + Strong cooling power (notice at most a 3-5 degree Celsius difference from stock with an upgraded Noctua airflow fan on the back) Cons: - High price for fans - short cables For more in depth review: I love these fans. I'm officially a "fan" of Noctua fans (HA bet you didn't expect the puns in this review). From my testing, this Noctua fan paired with the stock case fan that I had on the rear for CPU cooling made only a minimal difference, maybe within the margin of error. With the second Noctua fan, it made a huge difference because this fan is able to push hard on the heat stack and the rear fan is able to keep up with a large amount of airflow. I do recommend this product for a heatsink upgrade, but I would recommend you upgrade the case fan in back to compliment it. For the noise, I notice a substantial difference compared to the stock fan, mainly because it is a lower tone compared to the normal Cryorig fan. The same goes for the rear fan, it is substantially quieter than the stock Fractal Design case fan. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Great fan but I wish it were simply a black version of the brown fan.
Great fan but I would rather have one in black with all of the cables etc. that come with the standard color fan. This one comes with pretty multi colored corners but lacks the basic cables that come with the brown fans.

  • FINALLY received them!!! Worth the wait.
ok, so this was the last item I installed on my new PC build. They took forever to arrive (well Amazon forever.... 10 days). Anyways I just got them yesterday. I installed 10 of them in a Corsair Obsidian 1000D. 8 to suck air in through the front and 2 to suck air out the back. I also installed 3, 140mm sized fans of the same make and model on the top of the tower to suck hot air out. That gives me a total of 13 Noctua Chromax fans installed in my PC case. I also have 3 Be Quiet fans installed inside the case on the CPU dual tower air cooler. Thats 16 fans plus my GPU fan running inside the PC case. After I installed everything last night I also installed a decibel meter on my phone. I turned everything off in the house that I could hear making noise. the decibel meter read about 30-35 decibels (quiet whisper) in the center of my PC room with me standing stock still and my PC off. I turned my PC on, stood in the center of the room and tried the meter again. The meter still read 30-35 decibels. I walked over to the PC and placed the phone on top of the PC Case. I read a steady 35 decibels. I opened the case and put the meter inside, then reclosed it. The meter reads 37 to 40 decibels (which is still considered a quiet whisper). At this point I would like to point out that my computer is running 6, 14tb Seagate NAS Hard drives. While those drives are very quiet, I can sense they are spinning, while I cannot hear any of the fans I installed. In conclusion, these fans are so quiet that I expect if I unplugged my spinning platter hard drives that inside my PC case would be more quiet that outside. Besides that, since plugging in the 10 extra fans I found that my PC case heat has lowered at idle by about 4 degrees C on average (as monitored by 6 oddly placed sensors and the motherboard CPU sensor). That isnt alot, but then again it wasnt really HOT on idle to begin with. I fully expect them to preform well when my machine is under extreme load. ... show more

  • I had to look to see if they were ON !
OMG.... these are so quiet that I had to look to see if they were ON ! .... Love the short connector that allows you to plug into the Corsair fan head splitter without having to hide extension cables.... But, there is an included 6 inch braided extension cable if you need it... the colored grommets are a nice touch but you can go without them for the stealth blackout look . Happy to see Noctua moving away from their signature beige to a more neutral black case and fan... Did I forget to mention they are practically noiseless..... I am buying two more to replace the other fans in my Fractal Design Node 804..... ... show more
