  • Crazy light, reliable power — NOCO lithium battery delivers strong starts every time
I swapped this NOCO lithium battery into my daily driver (and occasionally project cars) to drop weight and keep reliable starts, and it’s been solid across cold mornings, short drives, and long idle periods without any drama. Right away the weight difference is noticeable — this thing feels like nothing compared to a typical lead‑acid battery. It drops pounds off the nose of the car, which is awesome for handling and just makes the whole install easier. If you’ve ever struggled getting a heavy battery in and out of a trunk or engine bay, this feels like a breath of fresh air. Build quality is excellent. The case is rugged, the terminals are well‑made with solid threads, and the included hold‑down hardware is straightforward. Nothing felt cheap or flimsy. The labels are clear (important for making sure you wire it properly) and there’s a built‑in charge indicator — simple but incredibly useful. Performance: 800 CCA out of something this light is legit. Even on chilly mornings, the engine spins confidently with a firm, healthy cranking speed. No hesitation or sluggish starts — it’s more consistent than many heavier batteries I’ve used. It also likes short trips; voltage stays strong even if I’m running accessories or lights before the engine fully warms up. One huge benefit of lithium is that it doesn’t sag under load like traditional batteries. Accessories, stereos, or fans won’t kill it during startup, which means fewer no‑start scares on cold days or after long sits. Installation is easy — just swap in, tighten down, and go. Make sure your vehicle is compatible with lithium batteries (some older charging systems can be picky) and check polarity before hooking up. Notes / Tips: • Keep it charged — lithium doesn’t tolerate long, deep discharge states well. • If your vehicle has a battery management system, double‑check compatibility. • Use a lithium‑compatible charger if you ever top it off manually. Pros: • Super lightweight — huge improvement over lead‑acid • Strong 800 CCA starts even in cold weather • Rugged build and solid terminals • Built‑in charge indicator • Better voltage stability under load Cons: – Slightly higher price than traditional batteries (expected) – Needs proper charging/management on some vehicles Bottom line: If you want weight savings without sacrificing cold‑cranking power, this NOCO lithium battery is a no‑brainer. It starts strong, feels premium, and makes swapping batteries a breeze compared to heavy lead units. ... show more

  • Huge upgrade for my 2009 FLHX Street Glide
I installed the NOCO Lithium NLP30 Group 30 battery in my 2009 FLHX Street Glide, and the difference is night and day. It cranks the bike instantly with plenty of power — the 700A starting strength is no joke. Starts are fast and consistent, even after the bike sits for a while. The battery is incredibly lightweight compared to the stock lead-acid battery, which is a big bonus. Installation was straightforward, and the fit was perfect. The 8Ah capacity has been more than enough for my setup, and voltage stays strong. I also love the maintenance-free lithium design — no leaks, no corrosion, and no worrying about acid. It’s held up great so far and gives me confidence every time I hit the start button. If you’re looking to upgrade your Harley’s battery, this NOCO lithium is absolutely worth it. Excellent performance and quality. ... show more

  • High expectations down the drain.
I installed this on 2018 Harley Road Glide Special. Accessories include accent lights and Rockford Fosgate stage 2 amp and 4 speakers. I bought this battery just to try something different from the normal 20 lb boat anchor of a battery I normally purchase. I fully charged the battery and installed it. 1 week later I was parked and playing my music on my bike for no more than 40 mins. I get on my bike to leave and turn the ignition on and bike was dead as a door knob. I mean no lights security lights or anything came on. Luckily one of my buddies had a jump starter pack. After a couple failed tries it started up and I drove it home. At that point I should have packed the battery up and sent it back for a return. No I wanted to believe in it as I thought NOCO was a reputable company with top products. So I charge it up fully again and decided not to play music while bike is off. I had no more problems with it cranking after that BUT I kept a NOCO charger plugged up to it when it’s parked. A few months later I had a surgery on my rotator cuff. Before the surgery I left the charger unplugged by mistake. Bike has been sitting in my garage for approximately 2 months. I go out to crank it and again bike is dead as a door knob. I have now went past the time to do a return with Amazon. I am so pissed about this. I have not read any of the other reviews about this product but my experience with it is negative. I wish I could give it a negative 0 review. I was actually going to purchase one for my Polaris ATV. I’ll pass. That is my experience. Do with it as you will. Update. I contacted NOCO. and I found the issue was lack of understanding on my part and in my opinion not enough education from NOCO and the lithium battery manufacturers. So if you purchase this particular battery understand a few things. They are light, cranks bike with a lot of cranking amps and does it for multiple cycles. You HAVE to keep it on a compatible charger all the time. If you don’t you bike will go dead in a few days. This battery doesn’t deep cycle. So any parasitic draw on the battery like alarm, security, led lights etc will kill this battery. If it is charged your charging system will keep it charged while in operation. I have read some comments on here that someone left their bike sitting without charger for a month and bike fired right up OR left their radio on for and hour and bike fired right up after. I am not calling anyone a liar but that is very hard for me to believe. I got all my info from the NOCO rep. This battery is not good for a motorcycle unless you want to keep it on the tender everyday and you don’t do any traveling. If you hop on it to go to a bar or something this is the battery for you. Back to ODYSSEY BATTERY for me. ... show more

  • This is the battery you have been waiting for.
Amazing battery. Lighter than you think it would be and has some serious power. My outboard spins over faster than it did with a full size lead acid battery.

  • Li vs Pb...sold on Li
I bought this battery during the BF/CM event to replace the OEM battery for my 07 HD Roadking LEO bike and it sat on my bench in the house for 3 1/2 months prior to installing it. I was a little dismayed that it asked to charge prior to installation....that didn't happen past ten minutes. I was a little concerned when I saw that the battery had an index card sized user manual that was 1/2" think, wondering what I got myself into. The battery is the same form factor as the OEM HD battery which is key, I didnt have to use two hands to move it is another. Since the bike had slept for the thus far winter, fuel had evaporated, etc. but with about 30sec of cranking it kicked over. It has never sounded better cranking, now the start time is about 2-3 revolutions of the starter and its running. awesome. The terminal design are brass with allen key over the typical lead and they seem sturdy. very pleased. I think i will be looking for another NOCO for my generator and maybe the Beull Blast based on their compatibility. ... show more

  • Perfect replacement
Before putting this battery on, I was able to repair the old AGM battery back to life by this vendor's charger. But I then discovered that the damaged battery cannot hold for long - if idle more than one day it won't crank. So I decided to replace the battery to avoid being stuck on road. With about half price of the HD brand Lifo battery, it does the job very well. After a full charge, it back-to-back cranked the bike many times. My video showed 3 times. You may hear that the bike started w/o hesitation. It is light, about 1/3 of the AGM one, but I don't think it matters for a 700lb bike. The terminals are gold plated so it provides better contact and will be lasting much longer. Pair it with NOCO's own charger for optimal performance. I would like to give an update on it. Today, 9/16/23, I stopped by for a coffee and forgot to turn off the bike. After hour and half when I came back to the bike, all lights are off. I was riding alone so no help around. It looked like I would be stuck for a while calling for road assistant. Then I noticed that the anti-theft led went on. I turned the bike on, heard the gas pump was working. Although I was not able to start, I saw a hope. So I decided to allow 20 minutes to battery recovering. Guess what, this magically worked. I was able to start the bike back to road. So amazing this battery. ... show more

  • Lightweight, Street Glide starts faster
Bottom Line - works in my 2015 Harley Street Glide, seems to keep a charge, very lightweight compared to stock My 2015 Street Glide's battery had seen better days and my tester said it was time for it to go. I installed this NOCO along with a NOCO smart tender. I like how lightweight this battery is, as getting the stock battery in and out is a total PITA due to the weight and no "go handle" on the battery. After installing, I immediately noticed the Harley starting more quickly. I liked this a lot. But I also started to get a slow, stunted crank along with a "VIN error." This can be caused by weird start up voltage or speedometer CPU mileage mismatch. What is odd, is that this only lasted a month to 6 weeks, and then the concern went away. I cannot explain this. I do not know why it happened or how / why it corrected itself. But that hiccup aside, the bike is operating as it should and the thought that, if I take care of this, I won't have to worry about a new battery for a long time makes me very happy. ... show more

  • Amazing Lithium battery for a Harley Davidson
I might say, i had doubts about this battery providing 700 cold cracking amps to start my Harley Davidson. The original battery only had 400CCA. Well, the unboxing was epic, well packed, very nice box. Packaging was well presented. Wait there is more, this amazing Lithium battery weights nothing. I actually struggled to pickup the original wet lead acid battery with one hand, this NOCO lithium battery felt like picking up paper. Is very light. Now the best to come, I installed in the Harley Davidson, and just went for a start. Low and behold the Harley Davidson just started as it came out of the box. Oh by the way someone left a review starting that this battery did not produce 700CCA as it was tested with and ammeter. Well this battery is not a generator, based on my experience what the person was reading was the charging amperage of the car alternator to maintain the battery charged and run all other accessories in the car. The intentions of the battery is to just start the vehicle not to generate voltage. That's what the alternator with a DC voltage regulator is intended to do. 200Amps from the alternator is not bad at all. Well enough said, I shall give this battery a 5 start rating. Do remember buyers all good things do come to and end and do stop working eventually. Next batteries on my Ducaties will be Lithium. ... show more
