If I'm reviewing the futon only, I give it 4 stars. It's a very nice, sturdy, solid wood frame, it was very easy to assemble, and the mattress is nice and thick and sturdy. For the price, it's a great futon. I have not yet slept on it, we bought it for guests, but I have sat on it couch-style and it's comfy. Now, if I'm reviewing the actual process of getting the futon and dealing with customer service, I'm going to have to give that 2 stars. I ordered a queen size futon. It shipped quickly. I had the frame within 10 days of order. The frame comes in 2 parts, the legs and the body. There is no tracking provided for the mattress. It comes from a different location and is not included in the packages that are contained in your order listed on Amazon. I contacted the seller about mattress tracking and received an immediate response with tracking info. A+ there. Well, then I decided to put the frame together in preparation for the mattress arrival 3 days later. When I took a closer look at the frame body box (the big, long, heavy frame body box) it had the word "FULL" in big bold print on the side. Um, I ordered a QUEEN. Another email to the seller to confirm they screwed up and sent me the wrong size, and they confirmed, in fact, they did. Sending me new QUEEN frame body post hastily. In the meantime, no return pickup instructions for the FULL frame body sitting in my garage. Back to that later. While waiting for the QUEEN body to arrive, the mattress finally arrives. I decide to pull it out of its rolled up tube and let it air out and unwrinkle. Only, I notice at least 3 large rips in the cover before I even get it out of the shrink wrap. Not wanting to man-handle that back into the box without the shrink wrap, I contact the seller yet again. They initially only want to replace the cover only, but I want a whole new mattress. They send out a whole new mattress. No tracking or other info or a timeframe. So, now I have a mistaken FULL size futon frame and a defective QUEEN size mattress taking up space in my garage. Back to that later. I finally get the QUEEN size frame and immediately open the box and inspect the pieces. Everything looks great! Phew! No scratches or rubs or mars to the wood finish. It was packaged very well. One small dowel on one end was broke, but we had a bunch of dowels from other stuff, so we replaced it easily. We get the frame assembled in a little over an hour, the instructions are easy to follow, well, with a little turning of the pages to find the right directions for everything. The new mattress finally arrived and yippee, no rips or tears. For fun, I unzipped the cover to see what was inside and found just foam and fluff. Not sure how they thought I'd be able to replace a ripped cover only on the first mattress when the stuffing inside is not covered. Anyway, after about a month from order date, I have a complete QUEEN size futon with a solid wood frame and nice size mattress for guests. It's great. But it took a month to get it all right...and a bunch of emails to the seller. Oh, and remember the FULL size futon frame and QUEEN size defective mattress? Yeah, here's where I would give the seller negative stars if I could. They didn't want either back. They left me to deal with the hassle of getting rid of their mistakes. Their incredibly heavy mistakes! I donated the Queen size mattress to a local charity who were forever grateful. I was forever grateful for the two big guys that got it out of my car. The frame....the brand new, solid wood, unopened full size frame body....is in my car on its way to my local dump. Their warehouse didn't want either item back. I have no use for a full size futon frame with no legs or mattress and I sure as heck don't want to store it for eternity in my garage, so, to the dump it goes. What. A. Waste. ... show more

Broke during first use as a futon. I had a guest stying over and the bed futon in the bed position broke in the middle of the night. The company refused to refund the cost of the defective product because it "just" fell outside their 30 day return policy. They don't stand behind their defective product AT ALL. Almost $600 for a product that didn't work as intended and they won't refund my money. ... show more

The frame came much faster than expected as did the mattress, Queen size!, about one week. The mattress came just a couple of days after the frame. There were no scratches, chips, mars or anything on the futon frame. The wood was flawless and the color of the futon was exactly as expected. I wouldn't say putting it together was a piece of cake, just a bit tedious as we followed the the directions to the letter! My wife and I assembled the frame in just under 2 hours. Noone has slept on it yet, but the 8" mattress was extremely comfortable to sit and lie on. We loved the mattress color and texture, fudge brown microfiber. We now have a functional third bedroom! ... show more

Bought this queen futon in brown for a secondary guest room and I am totally impressed. Took several hours to assemble by myself, but it wasn't that difficult. The instructions call for a very loose assembly when putting the arms/support rails together and this is a must! This is so the mattress frame can easily slide into the grooves in the arms. The mattress took a little finagling to bend and position so there isn't too much overhang off the front. It is super comfy and looks great in the spare room! There is an odor to the mattress but after a week it has subsided a great deal--just needed to be aired out. Highly recommend vs a traditional sofa sleeper. ... show more

This futon is sturdy and very attractive. We needed something for our multi-purpose den, which functions as an office, small TV space, and occasional guest room. This futon really ticked all the boxes and pulls the whole room together. We threw some very attractive pillows on it to elevate its appearance, and voila; pretty! The piece came together with two of us working on it in less than 2 hours; all parts were there, all holes aligned well, and no damage in transit. All in all a great little investment. ... show more

We purchased both a full and queen size of this futon for our Airbnb. They look nice and fold out into nice beds as well. People tell us all the time how comfortable they are. I do use a mattress cover, but there is little padding in that. There are quite a few loose threads hanging around the zipper that need to be clipped...hopefully this doesn't indicate issues. We've had these for over year now and lots of guests have used them without problems. Unlike the video, it is NOT easy for a single person to put these down without removing the mattress. My husband always needs to help. The outer material is nice...it seems to wipe clean. We tend to get a lot of smudges from dirty kid's fingers etc. And it only takes a wet cloth to wipe it clean. The queen size does seem to slip down a bit and it needs to be re-adjusted sometimes. It's difficult for a single person to do that too. The frame seems a bit too small for the size of the mattress. Nevertheless, I just ordered a burgundy colored queen size for our upstairs...although this time I ordered the one with the flip out trays for beverages or whatever. I kinda wish I would have ordered that feature on the others too. I'm looking forward to receiving that one. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase. ... show more

We've had this futon for about 2 months and we like it. It's big to where you can lay down on it while it's in the couch position. Easy to put down to adjust to a bed. The futon came in two different shipments with the cushion arriving a day earlier. It took my daughter and I 2 hours to put together, but it went together easy. Place all the parts out and the instructions to assemble are easy to follow. ... show more
