We had a broken SUP paddle and needed a replacement, and we also have an inexpensive kayak at a lake, so thought this would be a good option as to have a spare for the kayak if needed. It is a perfectly decent SUP paddle - our SUPs are often used casually by guests, so we like to have recreation-level paddles that are easily adjustable, so this meets that need perfectly. As a kayak paddle it is functional but less than ideal. The offset blades work well for a SUP but not for a Kayak paddle. Interesting idea, and again will serve as a backup for the kayak, but would not be used for that regularly. ... show more

Awesome and lightweight paddle. Perfect pair for my paddleboard that I lost my paddle to years ago. The color is nice and bright it is detachable so it is very easy to put away and best of all it works fantastic and it doesn't sink.

There’s a lot to like about this paddle, but it isn’t quite perfect. To begin with, I like that you can convert it from a stand-up paddle to a kayak paddle by simply removing one end and replacing it with the alternate part. If you plan to do any paddle boarding in rough conditions where it might be safer or easier to sit and use your paddle board as a kayak, then this accessory would be a welcome addition because it's much more convenient than carrying two separate paddles. The length of the paddle is easy to adjust using the small quick release clamp. And because it floats, you'll never find yourself diving for a lost paddle if you happen to lose your grip. However, there are a few drawbacks. For starters, when it's in the kayak paddle configuration you can’t feather the paddle blades to reduce wind resistance. If you're an experienced kayaker you’ll understand why this is important. Also, the paddle blades are designed for maximum efficiency when used from a standing position and aren't shaped like a typical kayak paddle should be shaped. In other words, you'll find yourself doing a bit more work than you would with a purpose made kayak paddle. If anything that just means that it’s not a perfect product, but I have to admit that it is still a very good product. Despite its shortcomings, I think this paddle is well-made and versatile, and a very good option if you prefer to carry less equipment as a matter of convenience or because you simply don’t have the space for additional gear. "I Don't Know" and "Not Me", carelessly chucking ISUP bags in the truck got one of our paddles broke. This paddle works great as a replacement. It's easily adjustable, as we have different sized riders on any given day. The green color stands out and even matched the board. Out of the box the lock was very loose. Per instructions, I had to rotate it several times to get it to tighten. I was worried that I was going to break the lock as it felt flimsy but once I got it tighten properly it seems to be functioning like the other paddles. The longevity of the lock, with repeated adjustments, is my only concern but so far so good. Happy Paddling! ... show more

I think this might make a pretty good SUP paddle, but it's only ok as a kayak paddle. The blades aren't shaped ideally for paddling a kayak and it's quite a bit heavier than my carbon fiber paddle, but it's also less than 1/10 the price. My biggest complaint about it is that I don't see any reason why it is three pieces instead of just two. The right/SUP paddle blade can be disconnected, but this doesn't seem necessary since the paddle splits where you adjust the length and attach either the SUP handle or the left paddle blade. The reason this is a problem is because the button to release this end is right where I want to have my right hand when I'm kayaking. It would make sense if you could feather the right blade at this joint (which is common in many two piece kayak paddles), but there is no option to feather, which would be really helpful in the wind. Overall, it's convenient and inexpensive enough to have as a backup paddle or to give to one of my kids when we go out on the tandem together. ... show more

I ordered this to have a spare paddle with me in the car on paddleboard trips. This paddle is great as a backup. It's a little heavier and a little less sturdy than my nice primary paddle. The connection between the adjustable handle and the main paddle pole is a little bit sloppy and wobbly, but not so much that it feels like it's going to break. It's easy to adjust the length, and once set, it feels solid and not likely to slide up or down while in use. The alternate paddle configuration (converting it to a kayak paddle) is a really nice feature and it's making me want to get a kayak seat for my paddleboard! Overall, a pretty nice paddle that could be used every day if wanted, and a great secondary/backup paddle if you have a nicer one for everyday use. ... show more
