The product was supposed to be new with a digital download, they sent me a used Nintendo switch and a used game. Everything worked but it was not sold as it was advertised.

I recently purchased this as gift for my burgeoning Twitch star (all of 5 years old, only 8 more years buddy!). I was beyond disappointed upon opening the package to find that instead of the product clearly called out in both the sales title and picture "Nintendo Switch w/ Super Mario Party (Full Game Download) - Bundle Edition", I received a "Standard" Nintendo Switch console (pictured) and a used/open physical copy of Super Mario Party (also pictured). So, no big deal right??? I got the console, I got the game, I should just be happy that Christmas isn't gonna suck for the little dude??? WRONG!!! Being the parent of a complete hellion, one that would easily forget his own head were it not screwed on, this seller's decision to pack a similar product with the physical game rather than a download has almost guaranteed that I will be forced to re-purchase the game after the physical copy ends up in the toilet, dropped in the lake, falling out the window of a moving vehicle onto the highway, jammed up some kid's nose, or otherwise destroyed in some inexplicable series of events. This will end up costing me at least another $40 when some unforeseen, and most likely ridiculous, set of circumstances leaves the "slightly larger than an old school SD card" copy of this game lost, broken, or otherwise unusable. I wanted the digital download, if I didn't, I would have just purchased the used copy from my buddy that STILL works at GameStop even though he is almost 30. (He's "just there for the discount dude"... 9 years in). I could have saved myself some time and headache by doing exactly that, because at least I could claim that the current copy, when it inevitably gets destroyed, was "purchased that way" and I could exchange it. Short story WAAYYYYY longer than it needed to be... if the format of your game is meaningful to you, do not purchase this product because it's not as advertised . ---UPDATE--- Based on the feedback the seller has offered me a case and protection kit, While not an ideal solution, this will offer me some level of protection against my concerns around loss or damage of the unit and games. ... show more
