  • Sleek&neat;good for physical games&as an "extra"
Mine came in a bit earlier which I'm very grateful for! It fits very well in my hands and is light and sleek. It also feels smooth and can even be held, sometimes played, in one hand! Clean and kinda bright; good thing there's still a screen brightness adjustment! The Pokemon version specifically; the designs of Zacian and Zamazenta on the back are pretty, and the contrast between the light gray system and red and blue buttons makes it stand out nicely! Works like other Switch Lites, afaik, good for mobile play. I give it only four stars because, like other Switch Lites, the screen is smaller than a Switch (not Lite) and it's handheld only so I can't dock it to play on the tv, plus the joy cons are attached to the system itself. It's a preference thing, also because I can't see very well. Thankfully it's still bigger than the 3ds but I can still play because it's not so hefty. I'm not sure why but the power does seem to drain only a little slower than my usually docked for tv play primary Switch? Aside from the little preference things, I highly recommend! Kids and older people alike who love Pokemon can enjoy this Pokemon exclusive system and appreciate how cool it looks and nice it plays! Plus, playing more than one game at a time if this is your second / newest Switch! If you'll be using the same primary account (game sharing , multiple users, etc) I highly suggest getting physical copies of games as well. That way you (might) not have to wait to (re)download your games and dlcs and be able to play together using one account but two Switchs (if you have two Switchs). Micro SD cards are also highly *highly* recommended, as there's so many games and the bigger the micro SD card, the more games and less stress you put on the Switch. = ) ... show more

  • One Of My Favorite Nintendo Systems!
I’ve never been a fan of taking my Switch out of the house for multiple reasons, but my main two were: 1. How it felt in my hands (I have small hands). 2. The fear of losing/damaging it. Therefore, I was usually just playing my Switch on my TV at home or taking it to a friend’s house for a hangout. When the Switch Lite was announced, I was so excited to see that they made a system that’d be perfect for my travels! I decided to get the Pokémon edition because of how much I love the series. I compared the size of the Lite to my Switch and the Lite was slightly smaller. It feels lighter than the Switch. They chose great colors for this edition! The blue and magenta blend well with the main color (gray). Zacian and Zamazenta on the back was a nice touch! Setup was very easy. I had no problems linking my account to this Switch and was able to set it as the primary Switch. Because I pay for Nintendo Online, I was able to download my saved data and get onto playing the games I wanted to play without worrying about restarting. This system is one of the most comfortable systems I own. All of the buttons function properly and the display is crisp and clean. The analog sticks feel great when I play and there’s no drift. I highly recommend the Lite for those who want something a little simpler than the Switch and would like to stay on a budget. People who prefer playing handheld over docked would love this system as well. It really is a great system! ... show more

  • Favorite handheld console
Like everyone else in this pandemic, I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing New Horizons on this switch. The design is super cute. Zacian and Zamazenta are subtle but cool and the pink and blue are nice shades. The switch itself has a surprisingly long battery life and I've no issues with controller drift. The size of it is a bit larger than most handheld consoles, but the screen itself is pretty crisp and is a nice size. That being said, if you do want to use it as a handheld console on the move, you'll need to invest in a case. The screen and controls obviously are always out so I wouldn't put it in my bag without my case I bought for it. The screen itself seems relatively durable, but I invested in a screen protector to keep it scratch free for many more fun years of play. For parents with multiple children, please note that digital games can not be shared between devices/played at time same time. As a kid I loved swapping game boy and DS cartridges but with the switch it's not possible. I also wish this was able to connect to the TV. Although not a deal breaker, having the ability to stream would have been really fun. ... show more

  • Just what you need if you play the switch in handheld
Just got this in today and I’m totally in love with it. I mostly played the normal switch in just handheld and it would feel pretty heavy after gaming for a few hours on it. So I figured I’d pick me up a light and oh boy let me tell you, this thing is SUPER light. Not only does I basically feel like nothing but with it’s smaller size I’d probably forget it’s in my bag. I did get a small scare when I saw the front of the box looked like it had been stabbed a few times but opening it up I found the console in perfect condition. However I wouldn’t recommend this if you only buy your games digital and plan on using this switch on the go. You’ll have to be connect to some form of internet to play digital games and every once and a while it will check up on the connection so do keep this in mind. Also if you want to keep your save files From another switch you’ll have to transfer them over but other than that this thing is pretty neat. ... show more
