I don't know why, but this microphone is my favorite. It's ohm output matches the line input of a macbook pro, so that there is no buzzing from ground leakage (like so many other wired headsets). There is a small noise floor. The microphone captures voice with a very desirable treble unlike so many other earbud microphones and boom headsets on the market.     • Works for voice chat and hearing game sounds
I rarely review but wanted to help all the new Animal Crossing Switch people out. So yes, this works for doing voice chat in Animal Crossing. It mixes the audio together so you will hear your in game sounds and the voice chat in the same ear. People have had no problem hearing me, even when I dropped the mic down by my side and didn’t notice. The main downsides are that the earbuds are not comfortable at all. Now, I’ve never much liked ear buds, but these just have the absolute thinnest silicone thing ever, which provides basically zero comfort. I have a particularly hard time with the one that has the mic attached. I can’t stand having it in my ear. I end up taking it out and just sticking it on my chest. I have ordered some replacement foam from another company, and a gaming over ear headset to test and will update my review once they arrive if they work or not. There aren’t really many options at this point for this somewhat awkward voice chat system that the switch has. This is one that works and isn’t too spendy so I will recommend it. Having so many wires is annoying, and I would love it if there was a higher end Bluetooth option that reduced all the wires, and had better comfort. ... show more

I am thus far very impressed by these. They have a comfortable design, mic quality (according to my friends) is great, and sound quality is significantly better than I expected. Not quite what my audiophile ears would call great in absolute terms, but pretty good for the sub-$20 price point that I bought them at. I was also impressed by how well these block outside sound. The only downside that I can think of is not an actual fault of their own. They are unusable while the Switch is docked, unless of course you sit very close to the Switch. I actually bought them primarily to use for my PS4, funnily enough, since that has a headphone jack in the controller, and for that purpose they are stellar. ... show more

Good budget earbuds, I'm no audiophile but I can say these put out crisp highs and smooth lows no distortion or buzz as far as I can tell. My go to earbuds are Skullcandy ink'd and these are comparable. Haven't used the Mic yet but I like the idea and you can unplug the Mic if you don't need it.

My only complaint is after a while the rubber makes my ears sore, I do only wear one at a time anyway while talking/gaming. I will say I have sensitive ears already so don't let this turn you away. Very handy for hearing game audio/phone calls. Works perfectly. While you can easily get a little tangled up these have helped a ton.     • Works with out an adaptor for your phone. Just plug in to switch and your good to go
