My old Nintendo DS Lite was failing - it worked, but the screen was fading and had lines across it. The poor screen made my many games almost unplayable. Ordered the renewed DS and it arrived in less than a week. Plugged in PictoCross 3D and it worked perfectly. I've tried my other games and they all work like new. I'm very pleased with this renewed item, and definitely recommend it. The 90 day warrenty is a nice safety factor. Hope I don't need it. ... show more

Bought to replace 15 year old ds that oldest daughter had so younger daughter could play her sister’s games. Works in excellent condition. It’s a smidge dirtier than I’d like but it’s white so to be expected. I was surprised that a used one cost the same as it was when new 15 years ago ($125).

This was bought as a Christmas gift , get it and my child tries to use it and it doesn't work , powers on but does not read games, did every trouble shooting possible still doesn't work! Then get told it can't be replaced!

Pros: • Both screens were near mint (bottom screen had a touch of yellowing though). • See through case has very minor almost unnoticeable scratches. Cons: • This is definitely not arctic white or whatever it was originally released as. It has yellowed uniformly into a more banana cream color. • The right dpad needs about twice the standard pressure to register. • I was hoping the bottom dust cover would be included for GBA because it was listed as everything that came in the box originally would be included, it was not. • When I received the device and took it out of the bag, I noticed a very big issue that would affect most regular people. Whoever took this DS apart last more than likely didn't hold the power switch in the "off" position when reassembling the bottom half because it was locked into the "on" position meaning you can never flick the power switch back up to reset it or power it up. • This device is Japanese. Luckily, the DS Lite isn't region locked, but I did have to set it up in Japanese before I could get into the menu and change it over to English. So beware if you get one and it is in Japanese. Just enter all your basic info and after you reset it, there is an option at the bottom to change your world location/language. All in all, if you know your way around electronics and can fix little small things like cleaning the dpad contacts or fixing a power switch stuck in position, the physical condition is somewhat worth the price if you want a near mint console. I'd probably buy from again if I was in a hurry or crunch, but knowing what I know from this one, if you are completely NOT tech savvy, I'd buy hoping it is as described but expect it to come missing a part here or there and probably discolored if your color is prone to that. ... show more

I purchased a refurbished "excellent" condition Nintendo DS Lite, and I cannot be happier. The DS is in perfect condition with not a scratch on it. Slot 1 and 2 are working great, I'm excited to jump back into the games of my childhood!
