The surface cover is streamline curved design with laser-etched patterns onto it. Built-in LED light emits soft light to light up the pattern when the switch is powered on. You can easily find the illuminated sign in a dark environment, no need to fumble for the switch in the dark anymore. Application: the switch fits into common square holder panel housing for most cars, Jeeps, 4X4s, SUVs, ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, boats, Wranglers and other off-road vehicles. But it is also a very functional light switch for fog lights, etc. There are different connection options - I have it configured so that it only is available if the taillights are on - that way it won't stay on all the time, but is still available if the headlight are off and only the parking (taillights) are on.
