I ordered a pair of lights for my truck from a different brand that didn't even fit so I was little worried about these. But I'm glad to report all the bolt holes do line up. The design mimics the appearance of OEM very well outwardly, but on the back you can tell there are quite a few small differences. The low beam bulb holder is a little different, and I think it's a little more finnicky than OEM. Wire routings are a little different. But everything worked just fine, and I think they look nicer than the chrome OEMs (though I baked apart my OEM and blacked out the chrome). Which goes onto say these are silicone sealed, so if you're looking at these to retrofit I would keep looking until you find some butyl sealed housings. I did get some condensation on the inside when I brought them back into my warm house after being out in the cold for an evening. Having moved my OEMs around a bunch I never noticed it on them before. I removed the low beam cover and dried out the inside with a warm hair drier and they condensation quickly went away. I haven't noticed any being a problem on the car.

This pair of Subaru Legacy/Outback Chrome headlight assembly came in a huge box. Much bigger than I expected for a pair of headlight assemblies. Very well packaged. Installation is easy for replacing headlight assembly Fits perfectly for 2010-14 Legacy/Outback. No bulbs are included which is a bummer, but not surprised. Works great just like the OEM if you get good light bulbs. What a difference compared to the fogged-up ones after many years of sun damage. Price is good for a pair of headlight assembly. Good deal.

Fortunately, there are multiple good YouTube videos available walking you through the process of replacing these assemblies. I'm old enough to miss the days of glass headlight assemblies which never fog or turn yellow. Sadly, the popular plastic ones today eventually all turn to ^&%$ from sun exposure. These fit as well as the original units, and hopefully will last for a number of years. Only time will tell about long term durability. That comes down to the precise materials used, and I can't tell those details just by looking at them (nobody can). Good value. A pair from your local Subaru dealer will be at least $700 before labor. Ouch. After a bit of use we do find that the low beam pattern has an issue of an extremely sharp Z shaped cutoff which a very distracting multi-color fringing effect at the beam top. We "fixed" this by using steel wool to abrade the clear front lens surface to get a bit of blending. Now the light pattern is much more useable, but the clear front jewel like look of the plastic is now beat up. The tradeoff is worth it, but beware.

This headlight set does fit the 2010 Subaru Legacy, but it takes a leap of faith in the installation. The upper tab on the headlamp does not (at first glance) look like it fits, but if you go ahead and attach the bolt and then slowly tighten it, it will pull the headlamp into place without any gaps. The upper tab will cover the plastic buttonhole in the process. All of the other boltholes align perfectly without major adjustments. I've included pics of the new and old headlamps here to show the difference these lamps make on my vehicle.

So far these work great. They were fairly straightforward to install, but we did buy a tool to help release the tabs. The light is good, and they look good installed - just like the original lights I had in here. It is nice to have fresh and bright lights. I tested them at night, but I haven't driven at night yet. I am excited to see the difference, but I can definitely tell a difference from my old, faded, translucent lights.
