This strap is only half as wide (7/8 of an inch) as the original strap (1.5 inches) that came with my Nikon D7000 and D7100, And that's what makes it perfect. I use my camera on a daily basis. Rather than wearing my camera around my neck (typical tourist style), I hang it over my shoulder, so that the long zoom lens is pointed downward and is more protected at the side of my body. This more narrow and streamlined strap allows the camera to be raised and lowered very quickly and easily. It is just wide enough to still be comfortable, but not so wide as to get in the way. The strap does not take up a lot of space in the camera bag because it does not have the bulk of the original strap. But what I like best of all is that the yellow color is unique and helps me to identify which of the two cameras I intend to use. And I was also pleased that the strap has no lettering on it at all (I thought it would at least say Nikon on it somewhere)--and it turns out I prefer it that way. Couldn't be happier with it, and will probably purchase another one to replace the original strap that came with my new D7100. ... show more

I thought it was the same strap as a favorite. Turns out it's narrower, but still a good fit for the lightweight body I put it on.
