  • Nice shoe
Size: 10.5 Color: White Chocolate Metallic Gold
Shoe fits well and is comfortable. Nice looking and I've drawn compliments. I wear it as my primary shoe.

  • Buying These is a No Brainer
I originally bought these at a retail store. I needed to buy another pair and I couldn't find them anyplace because because the retail stores keep swapping them out with the latest styles. When I found them on Amazon, I was good to go and kept ordering them from there. They work for me because they're comfortable and give me the proper support. Once you know your size then you're good to go and they have a variety of styles keeping the basic construction. They seem to be a fave with older dudes like me. ... show more

  • Great Shoes for the Casual Athlete
I bought these shoes in late June (although I purchased them locally and not from Amazon). I've put about 200 miles on these and they still look and feel great. They are a bit on the heavy side which for training I find to be a plus (especially since they absorb impact really, really well). I've seen other people complain that they make a squeaky noise after a while and I concur that this is probably the only downside I can think of. However, since I'm usually outside when I'm wearing them, the ambient noise (and my own breathing) more than drowns it out. I only notice it when I'm walking around inside the house. Update: I've had these shoes a little over two years now and they have held up really well with well over 1000 miles on them. However reading over my own review I shake my head a bit...these are not good shoes to run in. In theory the weight makes them good for training, however over time I realized they caused extra stress in my joints and reduced my ability to work out consistently. I still wear them all the time, but only for walking. When I jog I use much lighter shoes with less padding. ... show more

  • FIRST IMPRESSION MAKES FOR A LAST-TIME PURCHASE
All throughout my adult life I've been notorious for "buying on the cheap" when it comes to shoes: but in recent years, after going through so many beat-up shoes, I've been buying into the hype that "higher price = higher quality," only to discover that I should've just kept up with the cheap shoes routine, as I'm frequently finding the the results are almost always on a par with one another! And THIS is the most egregious example of it! For many years I've listened to my mother rave about how good a shoe NIKE manufactures and that she would swear by none other. So based in large part on her enthusiasm, and the final catalyst being that I'd wanted to show my support for the company in the wake of the Colin Kaepernick ad campaign controversy, I decided to purchase two pairs of this supposed "most-popular best seller" -- one for regular work; the other for off-&-on casual wear ... after all, could all those thousands of "4- & 5-Stars" previous customers be wrong? Now just for the sake of full and fair disclosure, I purchased these at one of our major brick-&-mortar department stores, so there's no chance to try to sway any suspicion in the direction of Amazon or one of its "marketplace" sellers for my purchase not living up to expectation. My first experience was, of course, being assaulted by that ubiquitous annoying "squeak" that everyone clearly has an issue with, which only intensified over time (I've had them now for little over half a year), quickly followed by an unreasonably long "break-in" period, as the way the shoes were constructed resulted in one of the bound parts painfully digging into the side of my foot just past the base of my small toe, which I tried to alleviate with a cushion of wadded toilet tissue or some other light soft material -- it was to the point where I was seriously beginning to believe that my foot (just one foot) would never adapt without having to keep resorting to such a measure. Then-- the kicker --after only a couple of months of non-harsh/non-abusive wearing (just regular walking: no jumping, sprinting, hard sustained running, rain-walking, stepping into puddles/streams, kicking things, scraping, dancing "The Twist"... NONE of that or any related stuff -- JUST MODERATE WALKING for on average six or fewer hours a day, three days a week) the soles began peeling away from the shoes: first a bit at the toe tips, then flapping at the heels, until literally half of the thick heavy sole on one of the shoes has separated from the bottom of the shoe! (I had to resort to "Shoe Goo" as a patch-up response, but of course that's only ever a temporary solution to the problem.) So now I'm left with one pair of these shoes that are practically totally destroyed; and another pair which, based on what I've had to deal with regarding the primary pair, I'm very hesitant to wear at all and will only do so on the RAREST of occasions. Nor should it come as no surprise that when I'd last discussed the NIKE brand with my mother-- you know, the woman who had been known to crow proudly about this company and its products for years --expressed her own disappointment, wondering just Wut-Da-Hel happened to the QUALITY of their shoes. We've all heard it said that "First Impressions make Lasting Impressions"... oh, I'm "impressed" alright -- VERY NEGATIVELY!!! Which means my first ever NIKE purchase as a potentially new & loyal customer will simultaneously be my VERY LAST purchase of ANY product with the "NIKE" name and/or logo on it! ... show more

  • Right shoe squeaks
Right shoe squeaks really loud. This size wide shoe is black and white with red logo. I have bought 3 pairs of all black and had no squeaking. Other reviewer had the same problem with right shoe. Buying all black from now on. Had 1 pair of white Air Monarchs also and they did not squeak. Have plantar fasciitis and the comfort for walking and short runs is exceptional. ... show more

  • These Shoes Squeak Insanely
I really wanted to get rid of my New Balance shoes and I liked the direction Nike was going lately. These shoes look great and they're comfortable enough, not great but not horrible. The back-end of the shoe rises kind of high and rubs strongly against the base of the Achilles tendon. After hours of wearing, it can cause some discomfort from that area. However, the worse part is that they squeak insanely. They literally squeak loudly when you walk. I thought it was just that they were new. But, after months and months they still squeak and it's embarrassing. Walking through the store and you can hear these shoes over the music playing. My thought was that maybe it was the insoles so I bought some Dr. Scholls. Made no difference. The squeak comes from the padding in the shoe itself and there's nothing that can be done about it. Thankfully I work from home but I dread having to go out because you can hear me coming from a mile away. And, for an introvert, I feel like everyone is staring at me all the time and not for a good reason. Love the look of these shoes, but being just comfortable enough, isn't enough to make up for the loud squeaking. It's like with every step the sound of baby birds chirping rise from my feet. ... show more
