  • Not as good as older versions, but way better than 2017
These are the best Nike Frees since the run 3.0 and 4.0s. The 2017 version was horrible. No support, very stiff, unwearable. This shoe is still much stiffer than the 3.0 and 4.0s. Its much less flexible and the sole of the shoe is less cushioned. Also the back of the shoe is stiffer as well. For those of you who liked to fold down the back of the shoe and slip on the 3.0s and 4.0s, this shoe will let you do it, but barely (the 2017 wouldn't at all). There is more arch support in this shoe than any other Free I've worn. In fact, it feels like its boat shaped; like a Hoka or something. I don't mind this as it feels supportive and makes me walk less flat footed. Overall this is a good shoe; not as good as the 3.0s and 4.0s, but wearable. Despite the support, these are harder to stand in for long periods of time than the 3.0 and 4.0s were. The one consolation is that this shoe is better for running than the 3.0 and 4.0s were. I think this is because of the stiffer sole. Sizing is the same as all other Frees. TLDR version: if you liked the 3.0 and 4.0 versions for their flexibility and plan on wearing these casually, you might be a bit disappointed by the lack of "Free"dom. If you want a good running shoe with some flexibility, they are likely a good fit. ... show more

  • Made for narrow feet
The shoes look and and I hope will become more comfortable, they are a bit narrow in the laces area apparently Nike has starting attaching the tongue (sewn into) the inner bottom part of the Shoe and doesn't allow much movement which might be great if that's what your looking for but I could also just tie the laces to my desired tightness just the same without forcing a very tight fit. And it's not like I can go a bigger size then the Shoe would be sloppy feeling in other areas so I hope it loosens up with wearing them in ... show more

  • Thesea are some good running shoes
I like to run but I don't like spending too much on running shoes cause I'm cheap. I'm also not a big Nike fan either cause everyone wears Nikes now. I'm more of a New Balance/Adidas type of guy but I tried these on at an outlet mall somewhere in Florida. They were the 2017s tho and they felt great but cost way too much than I usually spend on shoes. I saw these 2018 on Amazon for cheaper than the 2017s and was all over it so much that I almost bought 2. It's almost like I am running in bare feet. I definitely am running just a little bit faster. The only thing is that I bought a 9 but it feels just a tiny bit too small. I saw the same thing when I was at the outlet mall in Fl. 9 felt small but a 9.5 felt too big. So if you wear 9s try to find these in 9.25. I'm pretty sure these or any shoe ever made come in .25 sizes but im just sayin'. You never know Overall I think I will get a second pair as soon as I see these on sale again ... show more

  • Very good minimalist running with double padding
I've had experience with both minimalist and heavily correcting running shoes and these are a very good compromise if you do not have much of a pronation problem (under/over). These are not as flexible as the standard Nike Free that you can easily fold in half. They are much more flexible then something like a Kayano or other firm sole ridgid running shoe. I would recommend if coming from a firmer shoe to ease into these and not throw out your old shoes as you will hit a bunch of under used foot muscles that have no forced support. They become extremely comfortable once you get a good balanced gait down and make sure your feet are landing and rolling off properly. Again if you are beginning to run a lot it's better to keep both types of shoes for different surfaces and days when your feet are worn down a bit. I have found though that wearing very firm soles leaves your feet under-developed and more uncomfortable after a while. ... show more

  • I am a woman who fits perfectly into the Nike Men's Air Zoom Pegasus 35 9 1/2
I am a woman who fits perfectly into the Nike Men's Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Running Shoe 9 1/2. I have had 4 pairs. I wanted to try the Nike Men's Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Shield version, but was afraid that the fit would differ. No worries, it is perfect and I couldn't be happier! Love it. I have a narrow/to normal foot, and this shoe fits my foot and arch perfectly. In a Converse Allstar I am a men's 8. Toe to heel for me is 11 inches / ball of foot width is 4 inches. In women's shoes I am usually a 40 or 40.5 European size. Hope that helps someone. ... show more

  • Excellent hiking/work shoe so far
I should admit that I didn't purchase this running shoe to run in but as "dress" sneakers. They are solid black and will work fine for that purpose. I have used them so often when on the road that I never bother to wear dress shoes also brought along, for the fancier occasions. I've also used them out as a hiking shoe in the Swiss Alps, where they have worked out very well--the water repellent coating works and the tread has excellent traction. They are a bit pricey for this purpose but are very light, well-cushioned, rather cool looking, and easy to put on and take off. They do collect a bit of alpine dust, but after several hikes in them at altitudes to about 10,000 feet, I am very glad that I bought them and brought them along. ... show more

  • Nice Winter Running Shoe
I stepped into a calf-deep puddle, which submerged my entire foot and lower-leg into icy water. Not only is the material warm and well-insulated, the seamless construction kept all water and moisture out of my shoe. I was also wearing marino-wool high-ankle performance socks and thermal baselayer pants to help seal-out any weather. Storm traction outsole is good but not great grip for snow/ice wintry mixtures, but fantastic in rain or wet conditions. They’re very light, breathable and durable. Reflective qualities are nice for running and the materials seem to not only repel water, but also dirt. ... show more

  • Strange mesh but COMFY AF!!
The mesh is kind of strange (think of it as a off black or grey with varying shades) but still looks dope with black outfit. The comfort is absolutely off the charts amazing. Maybe the most comfortable shoe I ever wore. Only put 20 miles on them but I’m impressed how they were out of the box comfy AF. Literally no break in period. Like wearing slippers but the sole is very supportive. I primarily walk 60-70 miles a week. Not really a “jogger” or “runner” so I wonder how the comfiness would hold up in a 10 mile run vs 10 mile brisk walk. All in all I’m in love and highly recommend these. ... show more
