The only reason I’m writing this review is to give a little feedback on the thin round laces with the gold tips. These are somewhat unnecessary for the AF1 style. The shoe itself has luxury all in it. These laces are weird. They are similar to dress shoe laces, which works fine for actual dress shoes, but in this AF1 luxe version you must understand this is not a formal dress shoe and you shouldn’t treat it as such. The laces don’t pull enough to give to give me a snug fit so even when they are all laced up, there seems to be too much give between the lace row and the upper foot, the nylon tongue is too much to tighten down on for these laces. Plus, the laces are quite long- longer than needed, so the metal tips clank around on or near the ground while walking. Not cool. SOLUTION- grab any black flat laces, from any other sneaker, and replace these. Obviously check the length, but regular sneaker length will do. The flat laces just lay nicer on these AF1s and they really match the overall profile and fit of the shoe. Other than the laces, these are nice looking shoes- may be worn with a suit, khakis, jeans, just not as dressy as a formal sleek dress shoe. I wear a suit and tie to work, daily, and I’m on my feet a lot. The comfort in these shoes is better than typical dress shoes, so- they work great for me. For a formal setting I’ll wear the same suit with regular dress shoes. No big deal. ... show more
