these are a little bit more elastic feeling and breathable. the older version had a more thick cotton feel, which was nice in the winter time, but not so much in the summer. i haven't had an issue with these socks getting holes in them. they seem to wear like a normal sock. they should last for quite some time unless you go running around outside with just your socks on.

I have purchased this product more than once because they are that good. Great quality sock, after several washes the ankles don’t sag and the socks aren’t all pilling. I’d recommend these socks to athletes and for those just looking for a comfortable good sock.

Nike Cushion socks truly are cushioned. They are so comfortable on your feet. The only socks I wear anymore! And the low cut is a great style. I hate how the non-show fall to my shoe line, but the others are too long for me .

Both of my kids (17 & 14) love these socks, thankfully she wears a woman's size 7.5 shoe & he wears men's size 10 so sorting the laundry isn't too bad! They last forever & will get discolored way before they develop a hole! They do shrink slightly so keep that in mind.
