We painted our kitchen & dining room, as we were getting a new dining room table/chairs. I hated our vertical blinds because you either have them open to let light in or close them and it's completely dark. We were looking for sheer curtains that would allow light in, but still give you privacy (neighbors don't need to see what you're doing in your own home). We decided to get 3 sets, 1 for our kitchen and 2 for our larger living room window. We are in LOVE with these curtains! They are sheer enough to brighten both rooms, while giving you the privacy you want. I even asked my hubby to try & peek in from outside to see if he could see anything. I was pleased to learn he couldn't see in. The design is subtle and just the perfect touch for any decor style! The material looks similar to linen, yet it's actually polyester, so you can wash them if needed. These curtains really brighten our home & I highly recommend purchasing them!! I bought these for my daughter to use in her yoga "studio." She teaches yoga in the narthex of a local church. To help create a studio-like atmosphere, she puts these curtains on tension rods across the churches front (glass) doors. They look very pretty, they block the view of the parking lot and road, but allow light to filter through. She bought the yellow, but it isn't a bright yellow. Like other customers said, it has a bit of an orange-tan tint to it. But my daughter and I chose the yellow specifically because of the reviews that said it was not a bright yellow.
