  • Great curtains, truly blackout
Size: 70x63 Color: Grey
So I initially bought a pair of tan colored linen texture curtains for my room, but they let in a ton of light. I don't think any light actually came through the curtains themselves, but due to their bright color they would bleed light out around the edges. My walls are white, so this allowed significant light in. I then switched to these dark curtains, and they're perfect! Also, for anyone out there who wants to black out their room, make sure you buy curtains significantly larger than your window. The first curtains I bought were about a foot taller than my window and when the curtains were fully stretched out they were about two feet wider. Much too small! These curtains are a good 3-4 feet taller than my windows, they hang about a foot higher than my window and extend about 2 feet below. They're also significantly wider, so that even when the curtains are closed the fabric is not stretched flat. I would recommending getting curtains that have a maximum width of at least almost double your window size because once you hang them you want their to be some folds in them. Also, having extra fabric helps block out sound and it also insulates a lot better. Some people on here complain about the fabric being wrinkled out of the bag. Personally, I barely even notice the wrinkles on the dark surface. They're obviously there when you look at it but unless I was thinking about it I don't even think I would notice. ... show more

  • These are well worth it
Size: 52x63 Color: Pure White
I ordered the 54x63 to be sure they were wide enough for my house built in 1862 with the original windows. I think that was overkill but I am SO happy with them! I had an issue with one set (I bought 5) and contacted the seller. They were quick to rectify the issue so I have 5 perfect sets. Only one set was wrinkled to the point I had to do something about it. I was not keen to use an iron on it due to the material so I hung that set in the bathroom and the steam from the showers did the trick. This summer with the heat that has been unbearable, I needed to block out as much of the sun and heat as possible to have the AC not die from being overworked. When I had them all up, it was about 1 pm. I shut all the curtains and it was like I was in a cave. Legit! They are just amazing. I can't say they do much for noise reduction but I live in town so there's lots of noise anyway. I would recommend Nice town curtains for the complete black out experience. We can even watch a dark scary movie at high noon and have no problem seeing the movie. I'd say these are movie theater quality 100% ... show more

  • Silver gray is the perfect light gray
Size: 52x63 Color: Silver Grey
I’m very happy with these curtains! The silver gray looked darker online than I wanted but when it arrived it’s the perfect shade of light gray. I’m very happy. The curtains have slight creased from being folded in the bag, and I’m not that particular so I didn’t steam them but you totally could. The material is thick and high quality, like what you’d expect from a department store. The blackout is 100% on the silver gray it’s amazing! Make sure your curtain rod has the little curve on the ends so the light doesn’t peak through. Also read a tip to buy the width wider than you need so the material folds nicely- my window is 38” wide and I got the 52” x 63” and am SO happy with that choice! It’s sooo much better looking than the old Walmart blackout curtains we had before. Worth the price. ... show more

  • True Blackout Curtains
Size: 70x95 Color: Stone Blue
These completely block all light. They work best with a wrap-around curtain rod for full blackout on the sides if you place the rings on in a way that it folds in on each side. For 8-foot ceilings, buy a 95-inch length curtain. And each panel should be double the width of the window for proper window coverage. If you google it, interior designers recommend placing the curtain rod well above the window. If you put the rod about 1 inch from the ceiling, you probably won't need to hem the curtains. I have blinds that have a valance on the top, and I'm going to put a little foam in between the valance and window to block the only light which peeks out above the curtain. I've put a set in every bedroom in my house. The fabric is nice and definitely does give some extra window insulation. The fabric has a slight shine to it. I'd prefer no shine, but I'm still very pleased with them. ... show more

  • Keep coming back
Size: 52x95 Color: Grey
Bought these for kids rooms over a year ago because summer bedtime would always be a fight - “but the sun is still out!” :( ….and rooms would not get dark enough for sleep. These come is just the right colors and were beyond perfect! Steamed a bit once hung and they’ve been wonderful. Bought additional sets for other bedrooms and finally pulled the trigger for Master bedroom - our SE wall of windows with white blinds absolutely glow in the morning. No such thing as sleeping in or afternoon naps. Husband hung in less than 30 mins. A quick run of the steamer and all is dark and quiet. My only regret is I did not do sooner!! And reason is, had priced drapes thru professional window covering places and expected to pay 10 times what these cost (YES - ten times!) for the amount drapery required to achieve this look, and couldn’t guarantee black out or insulation as well as these. Wasn’t rushing to pay a couple thousand dollars for curtains - now I never will :) My only warning - to be blackout/sound & temp insulating, they are not light & breezy curtains. Def on the heavier side. Do not expect a flimsy rod or anything hung without wall anchors/into a stud to last long if you’re opening/closing often, especially for longer styles. ... show more
