I got these for my Mom since she remodeled and was all about the blackout curtains to keep her home cool. However these have rings at the top and it made all the difference in the world when you try to open or close the curtains. Her old ones didn't have that and I felt like you really had to PULL on those. These slide so much easier and dark enough to darken your room, even during the day. Of course blocking out the sun also helps keep your home cool. Keep in mind depending on your curtain rods, you still have light going around the curtain so you'd still be able to see if you have your curtains closed during the day but still dark enough to nap

The grommets on these curtains make them easy to open when you actually do want light in your room. Otherwise they block out light completely. They are a good weight and soft material so that they hang nicely. Originally bought these for my teenage niece who is changing her bedroom colors, and was using black as an accent color, and wanted to block out light. When she left for college, a friend took them to his place, and put them in his bedroom to block light, and they equally work with his decor. I guess if you have black, they will go just about anywhere, but they do hang very nicely they open and close easily, and they do block out the light. At least this was my experience with the black panels. They were very good value in my opinion. I don't recall if they actually blocked out cold any better than any other curtain from the same type of material so I can't really speak to that.

We live in Florida and our worst months are May-September for heat and we have a large living room window that brings a lot of heat and sun. I purchased 2 sets so a total of 4 panels of the off white to go behind my shear curtains and they block all the light of the day. They also fit perfectly and we're easy to put up. Very heavy duty for the price will definitely buy more from here again!

Haven’t had them up but several days but after I hung them on one window the next morning I got up to find my husband had put them on the other window. He liked them that much. How often does a husband hang curtains without being asked several times to at least help even if they are for his man cave? Hope these last and they seem like they should. They do block the light and some of the heat which is great considering it’s where he watches tv and it’s been unbearably hot this summer. I certainly hope they will have some other colors on the deals in the future. Quality curtain rods would be a great addition need double rods that are durable and nice looking.

These are really nice curtains. The fabric is great and they block out the light when closed. You have to spend some time ironing or steaming, but if you take your time it's well worth it. I had purchased another color for my master and ended up getting these for another bedroom. So glad I did. These are a great price for the quality.

I bought “grayish-white” and that’s exactly what they are. Blocks light well, not completely blackout but good. would buy again. Yes they are wrinkled when u open the package but that is to be expected, just need to steam them.
