Its thickness keeps privacy at a maximum at night. And hangs nice and heavy. Sturdy. It’s not like a shower curtain as I read on another review, but because of the backing material, I can see where that comparison could be made. It does have a bit of a rubber-like consistency on back, but only time will tell if it holds good in washing. would not heat these to normal hot drying temperature when you wash. I just did light dry with a wet rag to help with wrinkles. And it got hot but not damaged. The linen type material on front is tough and thick. We hemmed the curtains 8 inches to get to 37” L. 36L wasn’t offered when I ordered them. They are nice and full, and my window is not narrow. My only complaint is the color is really paler sage green than I expected. See 2 pictures I’m posting. I still have 5 stars because they fill the need. ... show more

I purchased these room darkening curtains hoping they’d help with temperature control, and they definitely deliver in that area. They do a great job of keeping the hot or cold air outside, which has been a huge help in managing my room’s temperature. They also block out light better than expected, creating a nice, cozy atmosphere. However, I ordered the ivory color, and unfortunately, the curtains I received are more of a gray tone, which didn’t match the soft, warm look I was hoping for. The color discrepancy was a bit disappointing, but the overall functionality of the curtains is solid. If color matching isn’t a big concern for you, I’d still recommend them for their insulating and light-blocking capabilities! ... show more

I'm very pleased with these drapes. The color is true and was a perfect match to the existing bedspread. Out of the package, there were some wrinkles, but they came out when I used a steam iron on the fabric side. They are well made and look lovely framing the guest bedroom window.

I’ve been slowly but surely buying these curtains for different rooms when we’ve had guests. So far I’ve purchased the gray and the pink, in three different sizes. All of them have been excellent! We live near an airport (less than a mile from the Amazon Air hub) and the light pollution at night is insane. Our guest have asked us what kind of curtains they are because when they close them, the room becomes pitch black at night. Also, we’ve found the rooms stay several degrees warmer at night because the curtains block cold radiating in from the window glass. I’m now buying more to replace our thin curtains in our bedroom and around our basement sliding doors. And more for my kids’ college apartment, which has a lot of noise and light pollution from the urban setting. For the price these are excellent quality. For true blackout, make sure to install the curtain rod above and outside of the window frame, otherwise you’ll get a small amount of light leakage through the pole holes at the top. Otherwise these are a good thickness without being too heavy, and they were super quick to install. ... show more
