So happy with this purchase! I bought 3 sets: one to cover a doorway, one to cover a closet and 1 to use on the windows. I am happy with ALL of them! Color: The color is beautiful! I had bought a set in gray years ago, but wanted to change things up so after painting the room I bought these in a lighter color, Natural. I was worried that the color may be off, but it is exactly what I wanted and expected. Texture: The curtains are thicker but not to terribly heavy. So soft to the touch. I should have placed them in the dryer to get out the creases before hanging, but I didn't. They still hang quite nicely. Blackout: I thought that the brightness from outside would come through because of the light color, but it really was better than my expectation. I live in Phoenix and the window faces north so I get all the sun in this room most of the day. Keeps the room dark and cool, even with the light color. It is not 100% blacked out, but it is much better than more expensive curtains i have tried. Easy to Install: i bought an Industrial style Curtain Rod so that they wrap around to cover the edges instead of open ends. The grommets just slid right over the rod, so easy. Smell: I did not notice any smell to them and like I said, I have 3 sets in 1 room. I may go back and actually purchase a lighter color since am confident that they will keep out a lot of the sunlight and will definitely purchase for other rooms. The price is excellent and the quality is exceptional! The photos were not retouched in any way to show how dark the room is. Love these drapes! I two pair in a guest bedroom and panel on either side of a pair of sheers with orange and white leaves in the dining room. Very pleased! At first I bought 3 sets that were too short, but they were easily returned and now my curtains are up and I’m really happy with them. They weren’t meant to be blockout curtains but they filter light really well. I debated whether or not to order these based on the reviews. I'm very glad I ordered. I'm not sure why some people say they do not block the light as I can only figure it depends on what colors you order and if you have any other window treatments. I ordered two pair in Navy for my bedroom and a pair in the Cappuccino for a guest bedroom. Upon installation, both rooms are now completely dark when the drapes are closed. We do have top down/bottom up, light filtering window shades in our windows as well but we needed something to block out morning light and the neighbor's post lamps that shine into our bedroom overnight when the shades are closed. Here's what I honestly think: I had a hard time finding premade drapes in the exact size I needed (66x72) and color, so these were perfect. I did not have any issues with hems being uneven or bad stitching as other reviews mentioned. Construction and material quality was great. The material is a thick or dense polyester (at least in the colors I purchased). In fact, the Cappuccino material seemed even thicker than the Navy. Upon arrival I put them in the dryer with a damp towel and that took care of the wrinkles for the most part. I figured once they were hanging, the remaining wrinkles will work themselves out and they have. They are a basic curtain that are casual but give off a more polished look. They're not luxurious by any means but they don't look 'cheap' either. They really worked our perfectly for what we wanted. We found they definitely provided complete room darkening (with our shades also closed) and we live in New England and during the winter, they definitely helped keep the room warmer.
