I have been using blackout curtains for a while now and as of yet, I have not found the perfect one; or is there a perfect one? In the images I am showing you the true color of these curtains (Navy Blue) and how these curtains cover my bedroom from the sun. I did not use any filters on these pictures, simply sunlight and/or no sunlight or light at all. I am also showing you how dark or not too dark the bedroom looks during the middle of the day on a 80+ degrees temperature day with a strong sun and during the early morning around 6:00 a.m. with cloudy skies. The image with the thinnest curtains are my old curtains(the see through curtains)(dark brown); which I have been using for at least 2+ years. Totally overdue for these brown curtains to be changed and that's why I got these navy blue blackout curtains. I just wanted you to see the comparison of the darkness of the room with my old curtains and the new ones. Do you see a huge difference? The material on these navy blue blackout curtains is soft, thick in a good way, but not completely wrinkle free as you can see in one of the images. They are easy to install and they do make the room somewhat dark but not completely. So far, the best time these curtains darken my bedroom was during the early morning and when the sky is cloudy. For the energy efficiency, I still got to keep trying them to see about that, but they seem promising with potential. I will see... I also do not know how long will these curtains last without fading with the sun like my old curtains. Overall, it is a decent product; but a little pricey since it really does not give my room 100% blackout. There are many other similar curtains that are cheaper and will most likely get the same or maybe even better results. If you live in a place where is cloudy most of the time, these "blackout curtains" should darken your room very, very good.

If you want some noise barrier and most of the light blacked out you will not be disappointed. If you need the room fully blacked out perhaps contacting product support on the best method to hang these to fully blockout sunlight would be helpful. I ordered the size required, tried hanging them different ways (one panel vs two panels etc), and still had some light sneak through only the top and bottom. Light is not getting through the actual fabric. The quality and thickness are nice with these curtains, and they have a nice weight. The black backing on this product is of good quality. I tried hanging them different ways to fully block out light, but the light did shine through at both the top and bottom. I did not want longer panels as the size I ordered was quite a bit bigger than the window and frame. I will probably need to order longer ones to hang them higher to block out more light for a fully dark room. The light was too bright before so there is a huge difference having only some light slip through the top and bottom of the curtains. They did help block out some sounds which was nice. The passing traffic is loud and the curtains cut the sound quite a bit. I can still hear the big trucks pass by, but it isn’t as loud as it was before placing the curtains. Cons: If I need a fully dark room I would not buy these again. Pros: The fact they cut most of the light and provided some noise barrier I definitely would buy them again if the room doesn’t require full blackout protection. Shipping was fast and the curtains were carefully packaged. These curtains offer an excellent weight, thickness, and quality for a simple yet elegant touch to your windows. They do come with wrinkles but running steamer across the curtains and the wrinkles fall.

These blackout curtains are great. My room gets black at night. I got them because there is a street light and my neighbor always has their bright front porch light on and this curtain blocks both of them out. It does really well blocking out the sun during the day too and I think it is perfect for people who sleep during the day. I have a big arched window and these curtain block the sun so well it almost gets pitch black. Unfortunately the light comes in at the top of the curtain but I think that is the rod that the curtains hang from. I have already recommended this product to my sisters boyfriend who works night shift.

The blackout-ness (??) of these curtains is really good. The curtains aren't the nicest available but for the price point they do their job and look good enough. Where I personally went wrong, is not buying them big enough. The window we're blocking gets direct afternoon sun. It's a real doozy. I would recommend by wider and longer curtains than you feel like you need. If not, you may have a small amount of light reflecting to the sides of the windows. This is a function of fit more than the specific curtains you order. Luckily, this curtain comes in many different sizes.

When daylights saving time change meant sunshine would blast into the bedroom windows an hour earlier I was desperate to find a fix for this so we could sleep in later than sunrise. I bought these blackout curtains hoping they would do the job. What an amazing suprise! It really and truly works great! Black fabric lining /backing on the curtain does the trick. The material is well constructed. Smooth, wrinkle free. I chose the beige and it looks great.

I ordered the first pair and put them up in a bedroom and was blown away! They block out all of the light. I had ordered another pair from another seller, and I was so disappointed, they were not like these! So I ordered another pair from Nicetown, and they are great! I am not going to bother ordering anything else. They feel great, nice and soft, and they have a panel of fabric in the back as well. The Stitching is beautiful, these curtains add beauty to the room, whatever room you decide to put them in. KNOW THIS, these are TRUE black out curtains/draperies. I recommend them, and I will purchase again!
