I've had my white drapes up for about a year in my bedroom (love them) but this morning I noticed that they could use a wash. I live in a tropical climate and everything gets musty. I came back on Amazon to see what the washing instructions were and was concerned reading reviews where white curtains became gray/splotched/discolored by the black lining after machine washing. So I took 1 panel and hand washed it. No color running. With trepidation I then washed it in the washing machine, cold water, delicate cycle, woolite detergent. It came out bright as new! Then I gambled and threw it in the dryer on delicate. Voila - clean, non-wrinkled drapes, no rusty grommets, all stitching and seams intact. I repeated with the remaining panels in washer/dryer and all came out looking brand new! I hung them back up and have attached picture. Another tip - I use metal electrical conduit from Home Depot as curtain rods. Works great! Strong, cheap, and I don't mind the 'industrial look'.

I replaced a custom cut white horizontal blind in my kitchen bay window that's been driving me crazy for years with these BLACKOUT curtains. This window throws glare on my TV all the way across my kitchen & living room during the day. Someone hung the blinds outside of the casement opening close to the sink. They always got stained with water splashback. They finally broke after years of daily use. A blessing. I didn't want to buy another custom blind. Too expensive & I hated the old one. The SOLUTION was a tension rod inside the bay window to hang these BLACKOUTS. I bought the BLACK ones. These are absolutely beautiful curtains FOR THE PRICE! Gorgeous quality fabric. And they are TRUE BLACKOUTS that WORK! No more glare on my TV. My guess is that if I had bought the WHITE ones to match my appliances, they would have worked too. But, almost everything in my house is red, burgundy & black. Dracula would be proud! LOL. I already have black vertical blinds on the sliding glass doors next to my kitchen, but they still leak a little light on my TV. (The kitchen window was the worst.) I'm seriously thinking about replacing the verticals & doing all 3 windows in my living room with these. They're THAT GOOD! 5 Stars FOR SURE! Thanx, NICETOWN!

I have been needing to add some blackout curtains throughout my house for quite some time to keep out the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter, I have had a few different brands throughout the years and some were plenty heavy enough to do the job but at such an unreasonable cost I couldn't bring myself to purchase all the curtains I would need at that cost. I came across these on sale and i figured it couldn't hurt to give them a try. These curtains are fantastic, they are the perfect balance of heavy, blackout and cost effective. They block out the light just a well as the heavier expensive curtains I have at a fraction of the cost and they look really nice as well. If you want a cost effective blackout curtain look no further, they have a variety of styles and sizes for any window you need.

Bought several of these this summer because my apartment has too many windows and I thought they would help keep out some heat to help my AC not work as hard. I didn't realize just how dark it would make everything. As soon as I hung the first set up, I could immediately see a difference in the room. Once I got all of them installed, it looks like night in my apartment all the time and I couldn't be happier. They helped keep my apartment cooler, though I wouldn't take my word as gospel, it's just been my experience. That said, I will be purchasing more once I move out and into my house. 100% would recommend if you're a fan of darkness and want to turn your room/s into what my family calls the "Batcave"

The power company installed a super bright LED light on the lamppost outside our bedroom window, so a black out curtain was the order of the day. And this curtain delivers. Boy does it! I am now sleeping in a pitch black tomb, or as my wife says, a cave. Not sure how I feel about that. I'm not particularly afraid of the dark, but I may need a night light before long. I mean, I do like to see a little something when I lay my head down. It gets lonely in the dark. My cat jumped up and scared the heck out of me. So... have to say that if you're looking for a black out curtain, look no further. Do the curtains baffle sound? It does baffle a tiny bit, enough to keep the annoying road noise outside my window to a manageable roar. As for measurements, I got the 42 x 52 inch and both panels fit my 71 inch wide window perfectly. The cappuccino is a nice color that fits my antique decor. Can recommend, but if you're afraid of the dark, you may need a less heavy duty curtain!

I recently bought some blackout curtains from Walmart stating they were a 3 out of 4 for blackout, which I figured would be good enough since I didn't mind if a little bit of light shown through. When I put them up it was not blackout at all, so I decided to go on Amazon to see if I could find some blackout curtains that would get here same day. I didn't do much research on different curtains, so I just hoped these would work. OH MY GOSH, I have never had such good blackout curtains EVER! I would say it blacks out at least 99.9% of light. When I woke up I thought it was still night because of how dark it was. I am very happy I purchased these and I plan on purchasing more. 100% recommend.

I love these blackout curtains. It blocks everything out. You canโt see our shadows in the house anymore. No car lights shining in my house at night. You see when we have our lights on at night. I went out side to see if provided the privacy we needed. It blocks out sun, lightning, body shadows, lights and more. I purchase it for my living room area. Love the privacy it gives.
