I’ve had blackout curtains before that had an almost thin foam backing in the back of curtains which worked for blocking light but after washing them the foam part would start to break down. I also never liked the way that they felt. These curtains are so much better! There’s no weird foamy material on them. The material alone is enough to keep the room quite dark. They’re a soft, silky type of fabric and hang very nicely. They were creased from being packaged but I used a fabric steamer and the creases came right out. My husband jokes that I’m a vampire because I need a completely dark room to sleep and these most definitely do the job!

My S/O works nightshift, we needed some blackout curtains so they could sleep during the day. The quality is OKAY, but for the price its definitely great! Replaced the old blinds that are hard to move around with these curtains, and its a drastic difference. Black matched our room pretty well, don't know how well white blackout curtains work or where to get some, but the black curtains weren't bad. Overall 9/10 for good blocking of light, ratio of quality to price is awesome. Buy them if you are on a budget or don't want to spend too much.

I was hoping for a solid blackout curtain that literally blocks out the sunlight & these do just that. I purchased the black color option & I think the darker color helps with the blocking as well. Quite impressed. Material looks nice. Size appears as advertised. Appears reasonably well sewn. And hard to beat the price. But for one thing, I would have given them 5 stars. Rod pocket is just a bit small. We use these where we slide them open during the day and closed at night. But they won't slide on the rod because the pockets are just a bit small. Fit over the rod okay but tighten as we try to slide them aside. Still, all in all nice and blackout appears very effective.

First I must say purchased velvet curtains from this company as well and I Loooove Them while they are room darkening I need my room to be pitch black because of the neighbors flood lights that are conveniently placed facing my window. These did the trick!! GOOD LUCK!

I bought these for my bedroom, to keep light out as much as possible (so that the rising sun wouldn't wake me, so that I could nap in the afternoon, etc.). I never tried putting a spotlight up to them or anything, but they did a fine job of keeping out sunlight. Now I've moved into a new apartment with more bedroom windows, so I just ordered another pair. I'm not sure what else to say. I don't care about how the fabric feels, whether they're wrinkle-resistant, etc. And I suspect you don't either--you just want to know if they'll do their job (of keeping light out). And the answer to that is yes.
