My window is so small I just bought one panel & drew it back. I bought a larger panel to match on the other side of LR for my new sliding glass door. Perfect blackout drapes -- look expensive! I wouldn't recommend buying these unless you invest in a steamer (I already had one.) The wrinkles were pretty bad. Not so bad on the 52 wide bc they weren't so scrunched up in the pkg, but the 100 wide are still wrinkled after steaming. I ordered a heavy duty steamer so wish me luck with that when it comes. Still loved them enough to give them 5 stars in spite of the wrinkles.

For those looking for a two-layer blackout drape that has decent insulating properties you would be hard-pressed to find better ones. We have these on the 12' sliding patio door on our master bedroom at this house and I purchased this set to go to the vacation house for that master bedroom. I like the soft fabric. although if I had a pet with significant claws that liked to sink into softer things I might go with something more like a set of drapes I recently reviewed that felt more like tent material and would stand up to abuse. These, on the other hand, do not look industrial, they are not a shiny material that can withstand a fire hose assault, but they both look nice and are great for darkening a room. Just be aware the more room you leave between the top of the drapes and the ceiling is where light will shine in. That is the reason drapery valances used to be popular, as they sat down just above the top of the drapes and blocked light from entering the room. However, they have gone out of favor, so the best thing to do is get the top of the drapes up close to the ceiling and light leakage is kept to a minimum. We have intense afternoon sun on the west side of the house and I have noticed these drapes do an excellent job of blocking that heat build-up. You can tell when you go to open the drapes in the evening and it is downright hot behind them. Although I do have a decibel meter for measuring sound levels I have not tested these drapes to see what kind of reduction there is. I know it does a nice job in that area. I have yet to quantify just how nice of a job they do. But I would have no difficulty in describing them as being effective in sound reduction. Obviously with this being my second purchase, I like them. The measured distance on mine from the bottom of the drape to the top of the ring, or top pf the curtain rod, if you would like having them just touching the floor, is 93 1/4".

They are really nice but I wish you could get them with a length of 90 -vs- 84 or 95. With the rod above your patio door it makes the 84 too short and the 95 too long.

These are nice and heavy definitely keep the cold out. No shearness at all. Been up for about 3 weeks and still need to be ironed. Will take them down and put them in the dryer to see if that works. Still a great purchase.

This multi-layered curtain is relatively heavy and cancels noise pretty well. It would certainly black out any light too, though I don't use it for that. As with every color-specific Amazon purchase, buyers must be very careful. I was careful, but the TEAL arrived lighter than the deep teal shown in the Amazon photo. I should mention that I use the curtain in a dark hallway to cancel the noise coming from an apartment inside my home. It isn't in lighting that would brighten it.
