These curtains are very easy to install and they have a black back, so it will soak in all the heat and light; to help with insulation and black out the room. The appearance is great! These are made well and are definitely room darkening. They are a nice heavy fabric that will also create an insulation to keep room cool in the summer and warm in winter. Highly recommend. I order 2 panels for my bedroom slider . Super easy to install and measurements accurate.

I realized AFTER I received this that it was one panel. Beware: the curtain rod that Amazon recommends to purchase with this curtain is beautiful BUT it has a center bracket...which means you have to get a second panel...one for each side. That's pretty much why it's not a 5 star. We loved the look and effectiveness of the panel we received, so we're buying another one for the other side. It hangs over our sliding glass door and is great for room darkening (even though we got the very light beige color...the reverse/backside is black). Nice quality! ... show more

I tried one that was all white, back and front, but found it did not block the sun light. I’d guess about 50% , so it had to go back. This one is perfect. Blocks light 100% . I was concerned the black backing would not look good. But it’s fine. Looks great, and it does the job.
