The cast aluminum manifold is poorly made. It is imperfectly round. You get what you pay for. I did not use the aluminum part as i could not get it to attach correctly to my engine. The other parts in the kit worked just fine.

Once installed after 3 rides of 30 minutes or less it became damn near impossible to stay attached to pipe going to engine.

You do need to pull the stock studs out of the bike but it will fit fine it is off a little but brought the bike to life

    • Required some grinding to fit.
This unit did NOT fit as desired BUT all of the alternatives from Amazon had the same problem. At least this one had enough material around the mounting holes to allow it to be modified and still seal to the target manifold. Since the products available on Amazon change from time to time, I would recommend examining them closely to see if any offer a better fit. Also, as-delivered, the unit did not include the two machine screws shown in the illustration but I would not have been able to use them anyway. If one is replacing the flange-mount 20-28 mm Mikuni carburetors common on two-strokes from the 1970's, one needs the studs to be 47-48 mm apart and symmetric. A line between the studs should pass through the center of the bore. NONE of the Amazon spigot adapters were like that. ALL of them showed a line between the two holes well off of the bore center. That was obvious from the gasket in the illustration and I do not know what vehicle they would correctly fit. I had to carefully elongate the holes with a grinder to make it fit my manifold studs. ... show more
