  • Fantastic game
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Prince's Edition
Item arrived on time and sealed/unopened. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed Zelda Breath of the Wild. At $22 on Amazon it’s a no brainer.

  • Worth your money!
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Prince's Edition
(Female: 25, been gaming my whole life, have played through Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch) Okay first things first, this isn’t a direct sequel to Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It’s set in the same world years later! So getting the sequel vibes out of the picture you can start to understand and appreciate that the battle system, characters, and other things are going to be different from the previous game. I love this. Instead of turn based fighting it’s more hack and slash—think BOTW Zelda— you can easily switch who you control during battle from your 3 person party. There’s no familiars this time around—like Pokémon— but instead we get more aid from higgleeys who help you without you having to control them. I prefer this to the familiar route of the last game. There are new things too like sieges where you control four groups against armies to win and also building up your Kingdom from scratch! Getting new citizens is a big thing too that takes up a lot of side quests. The side quests are different too. Instead of getting most of them from Swift Solutions aka the adventure guild you get them from the people themselves. But don’t worry Swift will show up in cities with some side quests and objectives for you to complete as well as his token system still active. Just different. This is a good thing. So looking at this game not as a sequel but as it’s own game with just ties to the ni no kuni world and some homages to white witch I find it’s an amazing game with heartwarming characters and stories. I’d definitely recommend this game as long as you’re okay with it not having the turn based fighting system. I know some people prefer that to hack and slashes—I do not—. You still have fun finding and creating higgledys and upgrading them but again they are completely different from familiars and should be treated like so. Anyways I hope this helped you make a decision on wether or not this game is for you! ... show more

  • First game was significantly better
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Prince's Edition
Mixed feelings on this game. They didn't manage to capture the same feelings that the first game evoked. I wouldn't necessarily attribute that to changes in the core gameplay, as the combat system (which is now realt-time instead of turn based) is pretty enjoyable despite being perhaps a little too easy. Gone is the monster hunting aspect which is a bit of a shame, but even that isn't too big of a deal. My main issues with the gameare the incredibly banal and childish story which induces constant eye-rolling, and the limitless and pointless fetch quests. There is just so little imagination and intrigue with anything happening in the game that at a certain point you kind of just can't wait to be finished with it. There is enough to enjoy to plow on, but overall this was a big step back from the first game and a missed opportunity to move the series in a positive direction despite some interesting changes (such as city building and skirmish battles.) Overall it's a skippable game... play the first one. ... show more

  • One of my favorite games
Platform For Display: Nintendo Switch Edition: Prince's Edition
I waited FOREVER for this thing to come out on switch. I love both the Ni No Kuni games (though this one has a special place in my heart, as it's the first one I played - and I know, I know, you're supposed to play them in order, lol, but when you see a sale on a disc for ps4, you grab what you can!). I really like the battle mechanics. ... show more

I love this game and it runs great on the Switch. The only issue I noticed is if the Switch goes into rest mode while the game is running the overworld can lag a bit sometimes

The graphics were amazing and I loved the music. I'm just not big on puzzle type games other then that it wasn't to bad.
