    • Very good stickiness but difficult to remove the backing when you go to use a piece
This is a very good product at an amazingly low price. I highly recommend this product. The only downside I have found is that it is difficult to remove the backing after cutting a piece from the roll. With the simple heat proof tape I used before this (only aluminum and adhesive, no cloth reinforcement like this has), it was really easy to just gently fold a corner and the backing would fall away from the tape itself on that corner. This tape is not stiff, so that doesn't work. I have to pry the backing away carefully with my fingernail each time. ... show more

My basement was getting more cold air than the upstairs in the summer and more heat than upstairs in thr winter. So I bought this and taped up the air vents in the basement forcing the air through the ducts to the upstairs. AMAZON difference! Sticks perfectly & blocks ALL air cold or hot!

I purchased it to use for my microwave air duct. It’s good for the price. I haven’t had a chance to see a similar product to compare but it seems not that strong. But it serves the purpose for my project. I like it.

To label this as Aluminum Foil Tape is a disservice to true aluminum tape... full disclosure I was skeptical when I placed the order, but decided to try it anyway. I would be shocked if this contains ANY amount of aluminum. It's a shiny silver woven material with an adhesive backing that you peel off the paper to apply (similar to REAL aluminum tape). It is very flexible and thin material and again if it has any aluminum it is of the tiniest quantity... I think in the right application it would work well enough, but it is not true aluminum foil tape. PROs: In the right situation it would work (such as flexible hose/duct, dryer vent etc). CONs: Adhesive seems to be more on par with cheaper duct tape you find at big box stores... I am concerned about the longevity. I would definitely not trust it in a situation that I did not have easy access to replace (if needed). ... show more
