As someone who rarely assembles anything, putting this together took me about 90 minutes and taking apart the shifter mount because I had it oriented for the left hand instead of the right. This thing is amazingly sturdy for the price. Definitely the absolute best stand to get without moving into direct drive wheels or the full cockpits that don't get moved around a lot. Tip: If you're going to be like me and rarely fold this up and instead move it away from the front of your screen on a near-daily basis, then do yourself a HUGE favor and get a set of four M8 locking caster wheels to replace the feet on the bottom of the frame. The stand can probably easily handle the strongest DD in the market, but there should be a better way to handle/move it when it is folded. Just have something to easily tie up the pedal plate. And holes at the feet work only when the stand is unfolded. But who cares to put it away against the wall, if it is not folded???! ... show more

If you search reviews high and low to get an overall assessment of the product before you buy (like I do) then you can stop here. I have high standards and this stand surpassed them. It’s stupid strong, stronger than anything you can find in a REAL car. I’m not sure about others but setup took me 15 minutes + 2 minutes of fine tuning. My advice is put it together but don’t tighten any bolts that are for adjustability. Set it up, sit down, adjust and lock the wheel, then the chair cradle, then the pedals in that order. Super versatile and sturdy. It folds and stores quickly albeit 50-60 pounds fully equipped. I can’t say I regret this purchase. For twice the price of completion, you get 10x the build quality and peace of mind. Just buy it, it has the German seal of approval 👌 ... show more

Wheel stands are a popular option for sim racers that value ease of adjustment, portability, and value over sturdiness and ultimate realism that heavy stationary cockpits offer. While the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 is a superb and affordable mounting option for anything out there, you do give up plenty of what makes wheel stands so popular. I bought this with a Fanatec DD Pro with ClubSport Load Cell Pedals, as an upgrade from a Thrustmaster T300 RSGT on a Wheel Stand Pro. That previous setup was easily portable and easily adjustable to whatever chair I or anyone else wanted to use. The thing to understand about this “wheel stand” is that, effectively, this is just the front half of one of NLR’s cockpits, sans the seat and seat brace. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but you do need to know this going in. Because of this, this stand is designed with a reclined cockpit-style seat in mind. If you want to drive seated straight up, that’s not really going to work with this stand, as it simply isn’t designed to be adjusted with that use case in mind. Thankfully, I have an old office chair that can safely lock in a reclined position. Also, making height adjustments to the wheel or pedals means removing four bolts for each, meaning that you can’t make quick adjustments for people who are shorter than you who want to try it out or share the rig. The stand is easy to build and ridiculously sturdy, perhaps too sturdy for most people. Aside from a tiny bit of flex up and down with the top wheel plate, this thing won’t budge or bend, ever. While that is great, it comes at a cost. For a “wheel stand,” this thing is too heavy for its own good. There’s simply too much metal being used here for most people’s setups, and it compromises how portable this “wheel stand” is. I’m using a pretty hefty wheel and set of pedals, and there isn’t even a hint of any movement at all, aside from a suspiciously weaker top wheel mounting plate, which is still quite solid. This thing weighs 50 pounds before any equipment is mounted. It really seems to me like they could’ve trimmed 10-15 pounds from the lower half of the stand with little issue. While I can lift it without much issue, plenty of people will have issues, and even if you are strong, it’s heavy and unwieldy enough that you won’t want to move it much. As long as you know that you’re getting something that’s more like the front half of a proper cockpit than an easily portable wheel stand, this thing is absolutely fantastic and feels like it will probably last a lifetime. However, if the portability and flexibility of a wheel stand are crucial, you might be better looking elsewhere. ... show more

This is my first wheel stand. I have always wanted a stand or an actual cockpit but dont have the funds for a full blown cockpit. After purchasing logitech G923 wheel and pedals I needed something. I was on youtube watching a review on a another wheel stand from youtuber Geek Street but the price was ranging close to 600. I asked him what he recommend for a stand or cockpit for 300 or less and he immediately sent me to his review of this wheel stand the Next Level Racing. I really enjoyed his review and after I was done watching I clicked the link that sent me to amazon and price was just at the right pricing point. I am glad I took his advice and ordered this wheel stand. It is exactly how he described it and maybe even better in person. I absolutely feel like I made the right choice. Another cool feature of this stand is that you can upgrade to a full cockpit! It folds up pretty nicely as well so its out of the way but it is very heavy to move at times lol. I bought this for my Logitech driving wheel. Installation was reasonable. It keeps the pedals solid. It handled me using the wheel aggressively. I tested it with just a fold up chair and it worked well. I haven't used the gear extension, but I assume it works well.
