Overall, this is a great handheld. I initially was troubled by the reduction in battery life, but it isn't as extreme as I first thought (it does reduce it more quickly, but not twice as fast) and the vibration is a nice feature to have, although it is a bit loud and doesn't have the "HD" feel of modern vibration motors. More like the old school Dual Shock vibration rotary offset weights (and, since it's kind of see through, you can see them in there and that's what the look like too). It's very comfortable to me, with hands bigger than average but not gigantic. The sticks, D-Pad and triggers feel good. The buttons are a bit stiff at first but get a bit more comfortable as you spend time with it. I am extremely pleased with the accuracy and feel of the joysticks. That was my biggest hope and it nails things there. I don't use the turbo or additional button features really ever, myself, but they're there if you want them. I do use the two slots on the back for additional Switch carts - handy, I wish it had 7, haha - and the included HDMI out and USB C in works extremely well as a portable "dock." Very nice to be able to do that without having to worry about setting up a regular dock when, say, visiting somewhere you have access to the TV. I will say, I thought that mine had an issue initially and received a replacement... that did not work right. One of its buttons was stuck sending signal at all times no matter what. So that was a bit concerning. But the one I have, and kept, did not in fact have a problem it turns out, and it has worked well for the two months or so that I have been using it. I will update my review if there are unexpected issues later, but I'm hoping it continues to perform well for me and make me feel satisfied in the purchase.

(Update around 3 months in, the buttons are sticky, unsure why, it might be something i did, but ive seen others complain about this.) The buttons, sticks, triggers, etc. Are very high quality, which is surprising for the price. It's not for everyone, but it works nicely for me. My only major problem is that it seems to not stay connected, while it is through the USB c port at the bottom of the switch, and pass through charging works, it doesn't stay connected as a controller. It gets very annoying. Though, it could just be a problem with my grip in particular. Or perhaps it's my switch console that's the problem, I'll update the review if that is the case.

I was looking for a good controller for my switch OLED, and at first, I was uncertain as some of the reviews said it did not fit the OLED, well it does but it does require some oomph to get it into place and slot it, but it otherwise works seamlessly. Pros: 1. Good stick movement and accuracy 2. Buttons are nice and clicky 3. No fear of the screen sliding off the rails 4. Can charge and use it as a replacement dock 5. Programmable Turbo function for buttons, and add buttons on the back of the program for easier accessibility. 6. No lag during my use while playing Pokemon Scarlett, and Pokemon Unite. 7. Good for Big Hands, similar to a dual sense. 8. Fits both OLED/Original Switch, and comes with a stand. 9. The padding is really nice and protective for both the game cards and the holding of the switch itself. 10. It's also very sturdy and I think it could withstand a bad drop, and I tried to twist it to see if it would break or snap and it didn't overly bend. Cons: 1. Buttons are clicky, and I am afraid they will go out or lose 2. function, and they can be loud for some. 3. The back buttons behind the controller are very small, and smooth, and can be hard to press at times, so it may not be fitting for some. 4. May not be easy to use for smaller hands. 5. Charging can be iffy at times and not as fast, but it is efficient. 6. It does not have any good grip on it and may be too slippery for some. 7. If you have an OLED the stand for this item is not that great, as it is smaller and has less range of mobility, but for the Original switch this would be an upgrade, but it still has a smaller amount of range to lean the switch down. Besides these ups and downs, the controller is pretty good, but it could be used with some improvements on the size, back button placement, kickstand, and grip ability, beyond that it works fantastic for my OLED for gaming on the go!

I bought this product about a week ago. I was stoked when it got here, because I really needed new joycons, and it's been great the entire week. But then today I was on my way to work and I put my switch in my backpack, and when I got to lunch break it didn't work anymore, it wouldn't connect at all. After I got home I tried multiple fixes with what I could manage, but it doesn't work. I tried all the Nintendo settings, unplugging and restarting. I really don't want to format my switch just so my controller can work again. It charges my switch when plugged in but it won't recognize it as a controller anymore. I'll update the rating if someone could help me out or if I could get it replaced.
