What on earth has been done to Fig Newtons?! Yuck. These cookies in no way taste like the originals. As other reviewers have stated, the outer cookie just crumbles on first bite into nothingness. The filling is far too sweet. Nothing like the cookie of my childhood; how disappointing. Another case of let's change the recipe and save on cheaper ingredients. Fig Newton. All I can say is that I do wish that this company as well as many, many other companies would take the SOY OUT OF THEIR PRODUCTS! Hubby and I once went through a small supermarket ~I won't mention any names but it begins with A and ends in i~ and read every ingredient label and could not find one without soy in it! Many people don't realize that SOY is a huge allergic ingredient! And very high in protein if you may have a kidney issue.

I used to love these. It had been awhile since I had them, so I decided to get them for my work lunchbox. The filling is still just as good as ever. However, the outer bread layer is awful. As soon as my tongue touches it, its like a bad oil or baking spray has come into contact with it. It was not the same at all. That bad taste seemed to be mostly on the bottom curved side. Even the top side though is not the same. It is more crumbly than it used to be. Don't know what happened, but apparently someone took over and spoiled the recipe. I doubt I will buy them again.

I’ve been receiving prime pantry for a long time and have never had a complaint, yet this particular time I found it out right despicable how these cleaning laundry soap items were put together with food items and obviously were violently tossed around Like a basketball down court... the package of cookies was broken open and alll the cookies tossed about freely and heavy bottles of laundry soap squished them and although the bottles were taped leaked into the box making everything smell ( although good smell 😍) like soap. I would think it’s common knowledge to separate food from chemicals ☹️ Just not very professional

My husband and I really like these fruit filled cookies for times when we are craving something sweet. They are really delicious and are always extremely fresh due to the individual wrapping. I do recommend them!

love fig newtons as snack and my favorite version is this one which has the 2 fig newtons individually wrapped, keeps them fresher and easy to carry in purse, carry on or briefcase. somewhat hard to find so was happy that Amazon carried the individually wrapped ones.

I like Newtons fig chewy cookies. I was in the Hospital recently. The Nurses gave me Newtons fig cookies as a snack. I've ordered two boxes of Newtons fig cookies 4 times from Amazon. They taste good and always fresh. This is the idea snack for children and adults.
