Being a regular keto guy, I know keto products are not cheap, but there’s a cost to eating well and avoiding sugar. Now I’ve tried a LOT of different low-carb foods, snacks, etc. and they’ve always tasted pretty- to really good. That is, until I decided to order the rather pricey RipVan Wafers (strawberry). Somehow they got good ratings, but when my wife and I tried them, they were bland, flavorless and at 130 calories each, not worth eating. In spite of that, I waited until the next day to see if my taste buds were off and I tried another. I do have to say that they were a little better than chewing on cardboard, but not by much. So, I did something I’ve almost never done in my 65 years: I complained about a food product. I wrote to the company, explained the situation and asked them if they would either give me a refund or a credit for one of their products that had at least some flavor. If not, I would leave a review of their product. Well, I guess they didn’t appreciate my correspondence and they never replied. So, my suggestion for you Keto’ers out there is this; there are quite a few companies that make tasty keto-friendly food items, but there is one to avoid; RipVan. ... show more

I went ahead and bought these after having tried their chocolate hazelnut crispy dunes, which I happen to enjoy, so I expecting something similar however I didn't factor in the fact that these (the strawberry squares) were only 1g of sugar whereas the crispy dunes have 4g. Before even opening the package I can smell the strawberries but it's super faint and I was underwhelmed once I opened one to see how mild the scent was, the texture seemed strangely dry, almost stale however it's keto that's to be expected that textures won't always be the same as the original. The wafer however wasn't crispy it had some resistance to it that immediately made me think of cardboard. The filling wasn't smooth at all but mealy and extremely stevia saturated, I see what people meant when they kept on referring to this as bitter however I'd say it's more of a chemical flavor as opposed to bitter because there's no bitterness on my actual tongue that's being register it's like your palate is getting perfumed by something bittersweet. All I can say is I'm disappointed, however I won't be letting these go to waste maybe I'll threw them into my yogurt to make it more palatable. 3/10 not worth the price but if you're doing keto and desperately need a sweet tooth satiated I suppose it's better than nothing but this certainly wouldn't be my first choice. ... show more
